    Re: GDT: National Signing Day

What if any did we get for 2 or 3 star recruits?

Havent he had a few in each of the last few classes?

not that it matters but always interested to see if their are.

He is still coming, just walking on. Earlier conversation suggest he lost his scholarship offer due to an off field issue.

Nice class, good quality kids. I like the walk on additions, a lot of SD kids, which I think is essential, which drives up more fan base in the state.

So Mengarelli is a walk on? Interesting. He had one of the most impressive highlight reels. Hard to imagine a player of his pedigree coming all the way from Arizona as a walk on, but good job to someone on convincing him of it.

Not a suggestion, fact. It says something that he is still willing to walk-on, I'm just not sure what that something means.

Can someone sum up the class in which you just signed? I am out of town with limited time on the Internet. And been paying attention to our signees. Did you get what you wanted? Any surprises? Any last second additions? How would you grade your class? Thanks

One big crap shoot. No I dont think ideally we got every one we wanted. Wessel, who father played for SDSU, signed with USD. Grading, its a crap shoot. We dont know much until we put the pads on. Your questions are good ones, but imo dont have answers at this point in time. I think we did alright in Yankton picking up the Soulek brothers and some others whose name escapes me.

I like RB Tusler (decommitted from UNI and Minnesota's Gatorade Player of the Year), WR Wieneke (Star Tribune reporters thought very highly of him and thought Minnesota let one get away) and QB Douglas (after his showing at an All-Star game, his stock began to rise).
