Anybody know what the channel is on DirecTV or if you can buy the package for the month or day or something? I get ESPNU, FSN, all that but not FSC.

I have DirecTV as well, but I'm not sure of the channel. Instead, a few of us are just going to go up to Fargo and watch this Jackrabbit victory in person. A few tickets became available so we're making the trek.

Few things would bring me greater joy than to see us win this weekend and to hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the NDSU faithful as we exit Fargo victorious.

I e-mailed them and asked about it. They said to subscribe to the "Sports Pack" and that you'll get it...even though that channel isn't listed in the sports pack, they do carry events on there.

To make a long story short I no longer have the tickets that I originally had for the game. Not sure if I want to drive to Fargo to scalp a ticket or what.

"The march is on" is part of tradition that includes national championships...not something you would understand. Cheap shot? Yes...but I think you guys can take it.

Ouch, maybe if you could just add an s to your moniker to become LakesJack it would be entirely proper.

I've always loved how this has been a classy rivalry. Hoping that other thing will move that way too.

Time for a prediction:

This game will be close throughout. Both defenses will be as advertised. The Jacks will pull off a late score on a big play to force overtime. NDSU gets the ball first and turns it over on a fumble. The Jacks win on a 38-yard field goal by Syrovatka! Jackrabbit fans celebrate all their first conference title in FOREVER by drinking Vatka all night long!

I'd hate to wager any money on this game. Anything can happen when two defensively strong but turnover-prone teams slam into one another. The only thing I am pretty sure about is that both sets of fans will be screaming about their teams "awful" offense at multiple points during the game. Hopefully we see a little more of the magic that SDSU brought out during "The Drive".

I have Time Warner Cable in WI, but had to order the a similar package to get the FSC channels (as well as some other crappier sports channels). It costs something like $5 extra per month. I originally picked it up a couple years ago when SDSU was playing on one of those channels. NDSU and UND will occasionally have games on their as well. You will also see teams from the East Coast like Delaware.

Another stupid tradition in Bisonland. I agree with this guy as well. It always upsets me when Bison fans change the lyrics of our country's anthem. The anthem is played to honor our fallen heros, and to demonstrate unity as one nation. It's the final note before the competition begins.

Why do they do it?
