What a difference that last miracle drive makes. The next two games are now worthy of a LOT of hype. Even if we don't beat NDSU we would still be facing USD with a trip to the playoffs on the line. That would be a lot of fun.
Obviously there's no quit in Sumner and his offense but geez, the offense sure made its own problems throughout the entire game.
The furious finish was a little reminiscent of SDSU's come-from-behind win a few years ago in CAS against NDSU. If my memory is correct, we scored two TDs in under 2 minutes...one of the rare times an on-side kick worked perfectly.
When the euphoria fades a little, we still have some serious questions and the toughest opponent coming up. It's a winnable game but.... Oh well. Today it's a W.
Welp. I don't know what to say. I said some truly awful things during the second half. Truly awful. Can you forgive 58 minutes of pathetic offense for a big, game-winning drive at the end? Because the offense was just horrible up to that point. And even during that drive, there were some ugly, ugly parts. But we got it. We won. Still in control of our own destiny. But the offense clearly still has some major issues.
I was down on the defense in the first half, but they more than made up for it in the second half. Did they give up a first down in the second half? Maybe one or two. Maybe. They showed some heart, boy. I'm impressed.
We take care of business at home on the final Saturday of the regular season, and we should be in the playoffs. Wowza. Hard to believe considering how up and down we can be.

This just in: the life expectancies of tens of thousands of South Dakotans and residents in the region, were just significantly shortened due to stress.
I just went screaming down my street screaming. My wife is not impressed.
its ok I just embarrassed my daughter by coming screaming out of the office at the theatre in front of the "White Christmas" cast of which she is one...lol
I'm one of those folks whose life was shortened. I first had to change my shorts, then go to a public place where they have those defibrillators on the wall and give myself a jolt. Is that healthy, Doc?
