    Re: Nebraska vs SDSU

Well....a loss here would clearly indicate that the MVFC needs to drop SDSU and ask USD to join, would be Stu's take.
With fans like this who needs enemas.....

Weather is nice today. Supposed to be a chance of rain early Saturday and clear up in the afternoon and be quite nice in the evening in Lincoln (70's).....at least that's what the weatherman said this morning.....if that means anything.

Rain off and on right now but it's expected to clear up by game time. There are a lot of Jackrabbits in town. The UNL fans downtown were uniformly nice with many giving a smile or a "Hey Jackrabbits" when passing on the sidewalk.

The front page of the sports section of this morning's Omaha World Herald is festooned with cupcakes having blue and yellow SDSU decoration and frosting. Centered in the upper half of the page is a story about the NU football players all talking the same talk: playing each game to improve and treating all opponents the same.

Of course, the players are saying exactly what they should be saying --to minimize chances of losing games they should win.

There's a lot of red down here. The occasional filling station sign posts today's gas prices along with a score prediction, like NU 35, SDSU 7 etc. What do those convenience store guys know anyway.

JD, in this case 35-7 I think they are being kind. That score would be a moral victory for our Jacks. Play hard and stay healthy gentlemen. whatever happens you will still be my Jackrabbits.

You may be right, Chains. It was just one convenience store operator's opinion. (Perhaps he was marketing to SDSU fans to stop for gas.)

Looking over the rosters, I note there are no SD players on Nebraska's roster this year. Usually one or two SD kids are listed. (The Gregory Gorillas must be having some down years.)

There are 14 or 15 Nebraska guys on SDSU's roster.

Well our guys are hanging in there. They are trailing 14-3 with 5 minutes left in the 3rd Quarter. Kyle Harris kicked a FG to give the Jacks 3 on the board.

Thanks for putting up the first post of the game, almost like USD before their site went down. Looks like they're playing not to lose by much rather than taking it to NU, but who could have predicted it would be this close.

Down 17-3 in 4th. Listening to them lose is not fun.

TOB has certainly not been impressive this year. May be time to take a look around.

TOB didn't look terrible last week. Not great but not terrible. Too many drops by the receivers.

Against one of the best teams in the nation, one with great tradition, the Jackrabbits stood toe to toe with the Big Red Nebraska Cornhuskers #6 ranked for 4 quarters...although they lost 17-3, they still showed that they are SOUTH DAKOTA's team. GO BIG -- GO BLUE -- GO JACKS!!!

One that had two td's called back on ??? penalties and a third discounted on a replay that showed a score. Oh if only the gods in stripes favored the Rabbits for once.

Checked the stats. Looks like a defensive battle. 14 total punts. Highlight is Minnet led all rushers with 112 yds. I understand we had a TD waved off.
