Like I said, I don't doubt that there are college kids who don't get along. Nothing new there. Is it a big deal? Not even close. When the basketball team and football team meet in an alley for a brawl Anchorman style ("Brick, I think you killed a guy") then we'll have something to talk about.

Obviously men's basketball gets more attention almost everywhere. The folks in Fargo love the Bison. It's just another reason I wish SDSU was in Sioux Falls and that we didn't have the dopey Skyforce or even the Storm or Canaries or Stampede. But I can tell you the SDSU women were all the buzz down here. Just b/c you didn't care, didn't know, don't follow women's hoops doesn't mean everybody is the same. If NDSU women did what SDSU did you would care. I'll bet the vast majority of North Dakotans didn't even know who are what a Woodside was until late last basketball season. Heck, the majority probably still don't know!

you can't seriously think that more people know who this Warkenthin girl than Ben Woodside. He was all over CBS, ESPN, ESPN 2, CNN. Collage Cover of Sports Illustrated......along with about 150 other players in the dance.

Heck, in two years you guys keeping the torch of that game winning shot burning is going to look just as pathetic as your crowing about that stupid Minnesota football game (SDSU has beaten Minnesota in more sports more times than NDSU and you don't see SDSU fans being obnoxious about it).

Did I say anything like that?... No I simply asked a question if Ben Woodside had ever had an article on the front page of the USA Today's Sport Section. I was merely pointing out that the SDSU women's team got quite a bit of media this year.

Again, that is my point. You lost three great players. Woodside is a once-in-a-programs-lifetime kid. Self called him the best guard KU faced all year, he hit for 60, dropped 37 on KU in the NCAA's...etc. NDSU will never have a kid like that again. Winkleman was also an all-time Bison great. They now have to be replaced and some NDSU fans are kind of ho-hum about it.

I know what you're saying, and I think all Bison fans can understand (save for a special few). The point I was making is that the op seemed to infer that since our returning players didn't produce stats, they must be less than quality players. My point is that even a really good bball player would not get many opportunities when the guys in front of them are superstars, so I think it's unfair to judge NDSU's returning players that sat behind the best players in school history before they get their chance to be the go-to guys.

The point I was making is that the op seemed to infer that since our returning players didn't produce stats, they must be less than quality players.

Of course the other side of that statement is that NDSU has some juniors, sophomores, and seniors that will be pretty inexperienced, whatever their raw talent may be....

And that definitely limits their upside. A junior who had the potential to be an outstanding senior with three years of increasing experience and playing minutes is going to be a bit stunted next year.

It's all about tradeoffs.......

wow, zoo. seriously??? beating minnesota in football....a big ten team at home infront of 65,000 people?????? and you are downgrading that? baahahah. sdsu hasn't even won against a FBS team yet. btw that minnesota game is listed in the top 10 upsets of the BCS era....no big deal right??

coming from an sdsu fan whos team lost to iowa state 44-17. had you beaten them they would have only been 1-11.
