The live stats page had this as an exhibition game for DWU. It would be similar to one of the games Jackrabbit men had earlier this year in Frost. Although in the women's game, it would seem reasonable to believe that the Yote women could get some mid-major in the Dome since high major Washington played there last week. Also, this week NAIA Lyon College thumped ORU and earlier NDSU lost exhibition to Minn Crookston to show that victories are possible. Returning to the question of why did they schedule DWU..... it is a head scratcher for a team that should be building a tougher schedule to match their expectations for the success of their team.

Inadvertent whistle cost UW-M the game. Waived off a basket at the end of the 2nd OT.
Cost them the game may be a stretch. There was a whistle and the clock stopped but then started again during the play. I don't believe the put back would have been in time had the timekeeper not momentarily stopped it. It was a tough call but you can watch a for yourself at the 2:08 mark on ESPN3. Refs put .4 on the clock and gave UWM the ball.

You wins some and you lose some. I think if its less than a second, refs should not be bothered, but a I know not many would agree. If there is time left and the ball can be put in play, the last play with no time on the clock is still part of the game. Congratulations to USD, their defense made a difference apparently on the last play.

Agree with yotefan. I don't think Milwaukee player, who grabbed the rebound and didn't go up right away with it, would have gotten the shot up in 1.7 seconds (time where the clock stopped). This is coming from a Milwaukee alum and fan.
Filling schedules is not any easy task unless you are DePaul, Notre Dame or U Conn. Connections sometimes help do that.
Women's scheduling is a whole lot easier than men's scheduling. When was the last time when the SDSU women played a non D1 opponent in the regular season?
No reason for a team like USD to play a NAIA program. They should be playing top-tier mid major programs or go on the road and play a P5 school.

Who cares who USD schedules?
