Terell Parks, WIU's great post, injured an ankle in the Cleveland State bracketbuster loss Saturday. He had to leave the game...I have no news on the extent of the injury and for all I know, maybe he'll be fine the next game but Coach Molinari said something like "pray for Terell" in the post-game comments.

Parks had 12 points for the game.

Molinari on k100 this morning "jack will be back, terell is hurt, that's all ill say about that."

              From the Leathernecks this morning.

Ouch, Parks is obviously a big part of that stingy WIU defense. Maybe USD will take care of locking WIU out of the #1 spot for us.

I hope so, they have some more bigs but none as skilled as Parks. This is a blow to WIU, as much as Wolters and his back spasms. I like to win when the competition is a full strength. At this point of the season, every man for himself and its about winning and gloating.

Coach Molinari made a couple comments on Terell's injury at the Downtown Athletic Club today.

"Terell is hurt. We're gonna go day-by-day."

"We would play small if Terell can't go."

Take this for what's its worth - over on the WIU fan board , a poster said they saw Parks on campus on crutches with his foot in a boot and he was saying he was done for the season.

I'm sad to read that about Parks. As much as I like any kind of advantage over an opposing team, I never want players to get injured. They've all worked their butts off to get where they're at and then to have this happen?....tough break for WIU and the League. I'm convinced the Summit League is trending up and injuries to Parks and other players in the League hurt all of us.

It is true that a few talented players like Parks can elevate the tournament quality. Braun may give the bison a boost as well. It is tough to see a guy like this and his teammates to get to this point of the season of success and find the hazard of injury to endanger rewards for the work involved for these young men.

Agree, I want to see these teams at full strength. If true about Parks this is very disappointing to me. WIU may rally around this misfortune and play inspired.

Over on Leathernecks Nation it is sounding more and more like Parks season is over. It's sad that a warrior like him won't get a chance to play in the post-season.

Very disappointing. Didn't they lose someone for their last game last year too? Quit the team or suspended or something?
