UNI looks really good so far today, sticking it to YSU more so than either USD or NDSU did at this point. It would be something if a team as good as YSU picks up a third conference loss today. They were just a play away from beating both USD and NDSU.
Late season attendance is up and down. SDSU @ WIU 2247 SIU @ USD 8498 Indiana St @ MoSt homecoming 8732
ISUr @ YSU homecoming 12723 UNI @ NDSU dome 18687
It was 42 degrees at Youngstown today. It was 43 degrees at MSU. It was 38 degrees at Macomb. It is surprising the Leathernecks do not draw better with the quality of their team.
Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

Yes it is a shame that WIU does not draw better crowds. Their student body draws heavy from the Chicago suburban area and so many do not hang around for the weekend. Plus they dont have a big following in Peoria nor the quad cities, so I think they have a real marketing problem. Tyler mentioned that the students got free pizza so they struggle.
I bet the MSU attendance only lasted until half time when they found out who the homecoming royalty were. As for WIU, I still remember driving around the campus asking numerous students where the field house was.

Pretty easy schedule left for us... We only need 1 more win to make the playoffs, this should be easy.
If I recall correctly, there was enough downer talk last year that I was a bit surprised there was not a petition to forfeit the game in Fargo and save the gas money for the program.

I don't remember how much downer talk there was, but in defense of it, before last year we hadn't had much success in Fargo (to reinforce it, look what happened in the playoffs).
I would be surprised if we go 0-3 in these 3 games. However, I would be just as surprised if we go 3-0. I think 2-1 and 1-2 have similar possibilities.
