I would also say that TC knows his limits. He is very good at avoiding those big hits that knock a guy out. Streveler, in my eyes, is a running back that happens to play QB.
STreveler sure looks like he can pass a lot better this year. USD I think is out to prove something. that is a road game that really worries me too.
I think the biggest improvement on that team, though, is on defense. They couldn't stop the rush last year. This year, they're pretty stout against the run.

It's only halftime, but after seeing USD/YSU matchup very evenly (not to mention what NDSU has been doing to their endless string of sacrificial cupcakes) I have definitely lowered my expectations for SDSU wins this season. We better take care of business today or there will suddenly be valid speculation about missing the playoffs.
I didn't think I could feel any worse about the loss last week. The YSU/USD game is making me feel much, much worse. I haven't been able to watch it yet, but I'm guessing USD has done more than sit in their base defense and let YSU take it to them.

No i think USD is playing THEIR base defense. That just happens to mean blitzing every down to stop the run, letting the d-line rush the quarterback, safties flying up to stop the run, and corners pressing to prevent the easy 10 yard passes
You'd feel worse if you were watching. The thing that stands out like a strobe light for me is how much better USD's O and D lines are faring against YSU. We got pushed around on both sides - not a simple fix.
