My daughter wore my old West Central basketball warm up jersey to school the other day (Yankton Middle School) My mom had found it in a closet before Christmas and thought it would be cool for my daughter to have it. Kayti said she had more comments about people saying cool SDSU colors than questioning why she was supporting another high school...lol not to mention her Spanish teacher is one of my old WC classmates and thought it was pretty funny to see.

Guys, a lot of us log on from work... please give warning before posting photos that could get us fired if our boss walked by and saw the photo. Thanks

Is it the photos, or what you were doing to the photos?

I'm not sure, I might need some more convincing.

I took a team to the USD team camp a few years back, and everyone got a t-shirt of course, including me.

          I couldn't wear it. It felt.Wrong.

So it sat unused for the better part of a year, and then I had my brother, who works with some usd grads, take it to give to one of them.

          As for that article, whatever...

It's their paper they can write whatever they want in it.

          But it's silly.

Same here. My brother gave me a USD Football Team Camp T-Shirt. I have never worn it and my wife asked me the other day, "why don't we just throw that shirt away?"

              Re: Interesting

I have two red items that I wear. A Cutter & Buck wind jacket I won with credit when I got a hole-in-one several years ago and a red shirt from the golf course that I won at a golf tournament. Didn't buy either and am very selective where I wear these. Usually wear black to Yankton events if I wear school colors or just wear my vast selection of blue and grey SDSU gear.

I do wear a red shirt, but it's actually a maroon shirt... Madison Bulldogs and all that.

I do have a red t-shirt but that has a blue collar, so it doesn't count... does it?

I think this point is well taken . . .

Mods, please keep an eye out for NSFW (that's Not Safe For Work for the acronym-challenged) pictures . . .

And note, NSFW means NSFW for your most prudish relative or neighbor or acquaintance, not NSFW for you, personally. Try to put yourself in the shoes of others (yeah, for once!)
Posters, please figure out a way to link NSFW pictures rather than just posting them here.

That way, you'll help keep SDSUFans.com from being blocked by some of the more enthusiastic corporate IT departments.

                  M'kay?

                    Re: Interesting

I have a USD stocking hat, t-shirt and a pair of shorts, all from a USD team football camps. Needless to say, I don't wear them anymore, but I do own some Coyote gear.

My Jackrabbit grab probably outnumbers USD stuff, 5 to 1, so I hope I'm safe.

                        Re: Interesting

There are a ton more SDSU students that end up attending USD for some reason (teaching, medical school) than there are USD students attending SDSU.

As far as the issue with wearing red, that seems a little silly. I don't really associate the color red as exclusively USD. After all, I live in Brookings and the HS colors are Red and Black. I won't, however, wear a shirt with a wolf on it...

                          Re: Interesting

Admittedly, I'm old school, and so red never touches my body, even though I live in Brookings. But I have a family example for this thread: My granddaughter (from Watertown) attended SDSU but had to attend one semester at USD to get her degree. She told me: Don't worry Granpa, I'll always be a Jackrabbit! During her time there, she got a job working for the USD Foundation, calling alums for donations. So, she tells me, she went to work everytime wearing her Jackrabbit sweatshirt! I would say that took a little bit of guts...ha!

                            Re: Interesting

I wore my SDSU letterjacket around the USD campus once in a while. I did it for a couple of reasons: 1) it was the right weight for the weather; and 2) I was being a smart**s. One day, having lunch in the student union, a large football player yelled at me something like "take that jacket off" (I'm skipping an adjective or tow). The 200+ students in there all fell silent and looked at me. Fortunately for me, my friend John Austin (later USD's coach) was sitting next to the hulk who yelled at me. John pulled the guy back down to his chair and everyone resumed eating.

Later, I saw John on campus and he was laughing. I guess I came pretty close to a broken jaw. John said "could you just leave the jacket home?" Of course, I said "no."

I can't believe a big scrappy guy like you didn't just go over and take him on. What's the deal?

I think JackJD earned his SDSU letters in Cross-country. He did the right thing he ran out of there.
