Quite the intelligent post there. I could never have thought of something that inspired such thought. Is that the best your South Dakota State education can do for you when it comes to your thought provoking abilities. Maybe it says more for the admission standards at SDSU. Whatever it is it's troubling.

SDSU - Pioneering Division 1 program in South Dakota
USD - A few years behind.

It's been 5 years now so are you gonna keep bringing that up or will you continue to use that arguement for the next hundred years. Afterall my great, great, great grandfather told me that USD was around before SDSU so maybe I should just go back to that point of argument. Since USD is 2-0 in their last two head to head in basketball that means they are the better program hands down. Since USD holds the all time record in football that makes them automatically the better program. Heck I think I will just take any tidbit of information just because it backs up an argument without considering the entire picture, oh wait I am not a SDSU fan so can't do that.

Yeah, but I was hoping the comedic/snark aspects of my comment would let it slide through without too much static.

In case people are wondering, I think this entire thread is kind of ridiculous (as in worthy of ridicule) and an excellent example of why people shouldn't get too worked up about recruiting "wars."

Eighteen year old kids make decisions based on all kinds of things. Then, they occasionally change their minds. Until you have the kid's name on the dotted line, you don't have anything. (In fact, even having that name on the line will only slow the kid down a bit if he or she wants to leave.)

I would observe though that people who are overly sensitive about "name-calling" probably shouldn't go around loudly accusing other people of being "immoral."

It is very obvious to me that you assume and don't read properly. I never said speed was not important and because you don't read carefully and/or properly you make other wrong assumtions as well.

I will try and read this last statement of yours more closely. Let me say again that speed is vitally important no matter what the conditions are etc. By the way as I read your statement CAREFULLY I see that there is no p in the word assumptions. Maybe USD can offer a better spelling class so you can write mistake free. Many of us would agree that you don't know what you're talking about so the least you can do is get the spelling right.

When USD and SDSU play in football again where is the game going to be played?? SDSU will not be going down there to play-GUARANTEED. Why you may ask? The coaches and AD at USD knows who has the better program right now and so do the SDSU coaches/AD. The game will be played at Coughlin in front of one of the largest crowds ever to watch a game in Brookings.

Its very obvious to me that you have never played football before and if u have then it would be a wonder where. SPEED is important no matter what the conditions are-cold or warm. Have u lost your mind?

There should be an apostrophe in 'its'. 'Its' with no apostrophe is possessive. You spelled 'you' wrong twice.

Try not to criticize the grammar or spelling of others when your own sucks. Also, spelling and grammar comebacks on message boards suck. Therefore, this post sucks as well.

As far as the point being made about speed, CF is right, you did not read his post properly. He never said speed was only important inside and he never said that speed isn't important everywhere. He said that speed was more important inside than it is outside. He also said that speed was neutralized "a little more" outside. Which is not the same as saying speed ISN'T important outside. I don't know how that translates to what you thought he said, but I would go back and triple check. If you think that speed is equally important inside and outside, that is fine. RabbitObserver - I think it is quaint that you should stick up for CF, and generally agree with your assessment on the use of the English language on message boards. However, you look somewhat foolish by sticking up for someone that had basically just done the same thing himself. Just my thoughts here, you may disagree.......but if you are going to disparage an institution's admission standards or quality of education based on one graduate's message board reading comprehension or use of English (post #77), shouldn't you be fairly proficient in those same subjects yourself? I like CF coming here and offering a different and often dissenting voice. I often deem his logic faulty, but then again it is tough being the only omniscient person on the planet . My point - CF should be one of the last people to cast stones with the plethora of inanely circuitous, error filled diatribes he has floating on the internet. If I were to use his reasoning, a USD diploma bears the equivalence of a tenth grade education.

Good to see that Northwestern Oklahoma State is an NAIA team and Lamar hasn't put a team on the field since 1989. I might pick USD to win those!!!!!!!
