The level of bitterness in the NDSU-UND argument has reached the point where it simply makes both sides look bad.

It is not an admirable thing to try to tear someone else down. The "winners" in this argument will be the first ones to realize this and start acting accordingly.

Sewage Supreme you really have just shown how ignorant you are.  You can make up all the Bull$hit stories you want but it doesn't change the facts.  As far as und supporters in Fargo what a joke.  The few that are here had to move here becuase they couldn't find a job in that $hithole of a town you live in.  You obviously have some serious DI envy as you seem to post on both NDSU and SDSU's sites.  For someone who is not concerened with NDSU and SDSU you seem to spend a lot of time trolling these sites.  Why don't you go to a DII site like SCSU or UMD's or stay on your own.  These boards are for discussing DI athletics, something you wouldn't know anything about.

Further evidence of the hate emanating from certain (not all) bison fans.  They always had a bad reputation in the NCC for their behavior.

Find it strange that an NDSU fan doesn't want a UND fan to post on a topic about UND, but NDSU fans can post all sorts of misinformation without being called on it.  If SDSU fans don't want me to post, I'll leave peacefully.

Siouxpreme- NDSU did things rigth in there move up. We waited for UND, tried to move the NCC up as a whole, and when all that failed we offered to play UND in every sport. I don't think NDSU cared if UND was going to move up or not because NDSU was gone regardless. D2's appeal was gone and NDSU needed to go DI and be with it's peer schools. When we left I thought UND should join us but I was more then happy to have SDSU as a partner. A lot has happend since then and plenty of it has made me quite angry with UND and I don't really care to post it all here. Both sides have equal blame on the level of hate that surrounds the two schools. But I unlike some other Bison fans have decided to leave all of that in past and if UND moves to DI I will welcome them into whatever conference we get into, with the history our two schools have we belong in both the same division and conference. The NDSU-UND rivalry is the biggest thing in the state and I would love to see it restarted and I think it will only be a better rivalry in DI. NDSU, SDSU, and UND can add a lot to a conference and I think we would look pretty attractive to both the Big Sky and the Mid-Con.

The Menace from the East and North


Having lived near MN and ND all my life, I have learned that the people of these states cannot be trusted. Senator Dayton's recent remarks that the Mayo Clinic is worth more than the entire state of South Dakota is just a smokescreen. The people of Minnesota want to forcibly take over our state. Their invasion plans have been in the works for decades.

Some people wonder why they would want to invade South Dakota, but I know the reason: They want to take over our casinos in order to lower their taxes. Yes, by plundering the profits of our casinos, these nefarious Minnesotans would be able to lower their opressive tax rates on staple goods, like lutefisk, fishing lures, and mosquito repellent.

Those of us who live up here in the northeast corner of SD have gone so far as to organize the Big Stone/Traverse Lake Naval reserve. We are a group of heavily armed citizens who routinely dress up like walleye fishermen, and patrol these border lakes. To the naked eye, those little buildings out on the lakes at this time of year might appear to be ice fishing shacks. They are really heavily fortified machine gun nests. We had to go with having these structures above the ice, since our "in the ice" foxhole plan didn't work out very well.

As to the North Dakotans--- well, they are a lot like hemorrhoids. They really aren't so bad as long as they stay up there where they belong.

I've gotta leave you now. I need to go out on Lake Traverse and help keep our borders safe........! Oh--I need to stop and get some bait and beer too.

Bitterness and Hate? I doubt it but caution is advised.

Dont forget:

1) The online pharmacy "partnership" ended up with the State Board of Higher Education admonishing Und for its actions in trying to take the funds from NDSU.

2) The Fargo Campus. Ended up with the State Board of Higher education ordering the Und remote campus closed. It was not ethically proper and the Chancellor publicly scolded them for their actions. At least $30,000 in taxpayer dollars down the drain.

3) Have attempted to block accreditation for the NDSU College of Business and our Engineering school

4) Have objected to all funding requests by NDSU for capital improvement projects and continue to object to and hinder any attempts at fixing a flawed funding system that is recognized as detrimental to NDSU.

5) There was no support from Und when NDSU was inquiring about membership in the WCHA during the period of time when NDSU was actively pursuing hockey. They publicly discouraged our membership.

Does NDSU really want any future entanglements with them? Its not bitterness or hatred just common sense. There are a lot of nice guys up there. That supreme guy is one of them, but the institution just doesn't project those same fine qualities.

Good Job JBB, this is one of the most common sense posts that tells it like it is. I also think that list could be alot longer if one wanted to but those are some of the main points. So for those SDSU fans who may think the level of dislike is unjustified I dare say that USD has not been so rotten to SDSU in comparison.
