Re: Yori out at Nebraska, under investigation
As we barrel along this off-topic run-away, I'd just like to point out that despite all of this extreme discrimination, prejudice, affirmative action, PC-culture, and sexism that male coaches are facing today, men are somehow persevering.
Yet while women’s basketball succeeds relative to other major sports, the percentage of female head coaches in the sport has actually been declining over the last five seasons, both overall and most severely at the Division I level.
Sixty percent of women’s Division I head coaches last season were men, while only 3 percent of all men’s coaches were women. And like most industries, the percentage of women in authority positions continues to fall the higher you move within an athletic department. Across all of Division I athletics last school year — men’s, women’s and coed sports alike — 37 percent of assistant coaches, 35 percent of head coaches, and just 9 percent of athletic directors were women.
Nice work, PC Police. You can't even discriminate against men properly.Originally posted by JackFan96Well, I don't get to sit in Mom's basement and watch sports all day

In case you hadn't noticed, there are a lot of people who are tired of being called names when they don't hold any ill will toward anyone. Keep it up though, I'm sure your argument will convince them eventually. If that doesn't work, just shout them down. If it still doesn't work, maybe you can get them fired or thrown in jail for trumped up (no pun intended) charges.“I used to be with it. But then they changed what it was. Now what I’m with isn’t it, and what’s it seems scary and wierd. It’ll happen to you.” — Abe Simpson

It is unfortunate that so many people see the need to "get even" to be more important than simply doing their best and encouraging everyone else to do likewise. But I guess the relative scarcity of the latter view is why we tend to think it's so noble.
With that Deep Thought Of The Day, I invite a return to the topic of the thread."I think we'll be OK"

Re: Yori out at Nebraska, under investigation
This Yori thing gets more and more interesting.
-Player accusations of mistreatment.
-Former assistant filing a discrimination grievance.
-A 4-year practice player saying practices never were easier than this year.
-Also says that players were soft; some refusing to run down the court or raise their hands on defense.

Re: Yori out at Nebraska, under investigation
Here's one situation where having a man coach a women's team did not work out very well. Sad - son of the legendary Pat Summitt. www.swishappeal.com/2016/4/7/11389990/tyler-summitt-impregnates-former-player.Last edited by bigticket1; 04-07-2016, 08:53 PM.
