K-state fan that elbow the KU player is cited for disorderly conduct.

At the 22 second mark of the video there is a gray haired balding fan hugging a K-state player. WTF!?

An attorney wrote that apology. I read stuff like that all day long!!! Ha!

Also, that old guy hugging the player? That is right next to Bill Self. The player, K-State's Gipson, was trying to shield Coach Self from the fans.

Does anyone else note the irony of a sports media that hypes games 24 hours a day (read:ESPN) then complains endlessly when fans get too excited? They gotta fill that airtime somehow. But guarantee there have been endless articles, blogs, live chats and interviews leading up to the Kansas game. Guarantee the BTN hyped the Maryland Wisconsin game too. Then they all throw up there hands and ask, how can this happen?

Obviously event safety is important but I do think the media plays a roll.
