Re: Will the Big Dance be coming to Sioux Falls????
Give it time. There will be a NCAA Tournament game hosted in Sioux Falls within the next 10 years. I'm guessing the NCAA wants a better idea of what Sioux Falls brings. So hosting big time games like Memphis/Wichita State and hosting D2 NCAA Tournament games will also help.
Des Moines got their 1st ever bid this year.
Sioux Falls also has a bid for the NCAA women's tournament which will be announced Thursday. There is still a possibility.

Agree. NCAA will make a note on how well the Summit League tournament does in a new facility.
Sioux Falls need more hotels and upgrades to the Airport.

Yep,and 10 years is about the length of time it's taken Des Moines to land a bid.

I can understand the NCAA not awarding the men's tournament to an arena that , as nice as it appears , has yet to host it's first basketball game. Hopefully they may be more willing to put a first round of the women's tourney in SF. The good thing about that is they seem to be willing to work the seeds to get a local team in if they qualify. That could be big for the Jacks.

Agreed. I'm pretty sure the NCAA knows how well women's basketball is followed in South Dakota. During the USD vs Kansas game, the announcers brought up attendance and atmosphere of the Summit League Women's Tournament.
