However, I didn't mind Vince Carter at UNC. He was pretty darn good. Dean always had him guard the other teams top player...1,2,3, or 4. That was the team with Shammond Williams and Antawn Jamison. They were fun to watch.... Coach Guthridge had them, and took them to two final fours in his 3 years.

I really like Roy, another good read is his book "Hard Work". Much like Coach K, he grew up poor, with basically nothing, and made himself what he has become.

Also, I really think that Duke has good kids, too. That's a reason the book "Blue Bloods" is so good, goes through all the teams, all the eras... how many of the guys almost signed with one team, but then signed with the other.

Like I said, it's more of a "style of play" thing for me. I like Roys and Deans transition offense approach. Roy pushes it a bit more...but he says himself, he's changed exactly One thing in the secondary break that they run. Duke has traditionally been more of a half court team....and known as a defensive team. Coach K learned well from Bobby Knight, and added his own personality to it.

Since I grew up cheering for the Heels, I grew up cheering against Duke.

I love the Rivalry of the two schools. Can you imagine if State and the U were 9 miles apart? crazy.

And I cannot cheer for the U. Those were the most fun games attending as a student. If the U played Duke.... maybe I'd cheer for them... maybe...
I have read a few books by Coach K and Knight and enjoyed them a lot. I personally like watching Duke run its offense. Its like a well oiled machine. Clock management and getting high percentage shots are things a lot of school and kids don't learn anymore. UNC can sure rack up the points when the fast breaks are rolling in but usually lack that half court ability to be aggressive. Which I think we saw in the game, first half they out ran duke and were up big, but in the 2nd having to run a half court offense they were lost.
