Since you are in Iowa you have no idea what kind of people are running around campus. (Amidoinitrite?)

(And for the record, I really don't care what kind of people they are as long as they win football games. I know I am in the minority in that respect.)

My take on the issue is that I don't want to see him go to UNI or USD over SDSU. SDSU doesn't want to have to play against him. If Stig offers then you can probably assume he has his head on straight. If he goes FBS that's great. But if he goes somewhere in FCS and becomes a star, then I'd be mad for the coaches for not trying to go after him. I agree that it's a long shot for him to come to Brookings, but imagine playing against him if he was playing for USD or UNI.

I think SDSU was the first - or at least one of the first - colleges to originally offer Wegher a schollie, back before Iowa and many other schools got into the chase. Whether the Jacks' offer still stands, I don't know. I hope it does, but it probably doesn't. Many college-aged guys make mistakes, but most grow up and become good men.
