If they sell out the lower bowl they will start to open up the upper bowl.

The City is suing Dalsin Inc. over the flawed panels: http://www.argusleader.com/story/new...laws/71583134/

If this really does go to court, get your popcorn ready.

well, i am rather shocked they are not going to replace the panels, but, that's what can happen when you "go cheap". imo, it looks horrible. 'course, i never liked the look of those panels right from the beginning. epic fail, imo.

            from KELO:
So, after all this, the question is why talk about filing a lawsuit in the first place? Pfeifle says city leaders announced the possible litigation to dispel the rumor that they were not doing anything about the siding. He also says the settlement doesn't allow him to say how much each company is paying to reach that total of settlement. At the end of a year of controversy over this siding, city leaders say they are happy with that part of the multi-million dollar building.
"It doesn't look that bad, in my opinion, and I think we made a good compromise," Rex Rolfing said.

maybe he is trying to talk himself into how good the exterior panels look. seriously, Rolfing? wow.

It's amazing how much better something looks when handed a $1 million check and a confidentiality agreement that the city may be able to hid behind. Also, lol at the councilman that thinks tearing off a piece of sheet rock will put the whole matter to rest.

Word on the street is that the mayor has an agenda to add seating to the east and needed a way to pay for it. Apparently the availability of tickets for major events has been an issue.

The paneling looks goofy up close. From far away can't really tell. Sort of looks like it was done on purpose. The thing that looks goofy to me are the windows. To me it looks like some panels fell off. My only issue inside is leg room. The seats are nice enough but the leg room is horrible imho.

Isn't the east end where the stage goes...?

I wouldn't know I haven't been able to get tickets to any shows.

The University of North Dakota is bidding to use the the Premier Center as a NCAA Mens Hockey Tournament Regional Host in 2018. They will automatically be placed there if they qualify, if not you would get the Gophers. Could be big crowds or absolutely nobody.

It will get big crowds, possibly even bigger than the Summit League. Stampede averaged almost 6,400 per game last season, more than all but 5 DI hockey programs according to:

Hockey teams travel fairly well, there are a fair amount of D-I programs in the area, (UNO, how many Minnesota schools, UND, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, and others)

Plus for not having a great statewide hockey program, hockey is a real fun sport to watch live, so finding people to show up wouldn't be that big of a problem.
