The reality is that 4,000 is probably the perfect size. Sure, once in every ten blue moons you could sell 5 or 6 thousand tickets but then you'd have a big empty arena 99.5% of the time (see Vermillion. What were they thinking?). The reality is the big USD, Augie, NSU crowds are more than 20 years in the past and aren't coming back.
There were at least a couple hundred open seats on the west side 217-219 yesterday.

I'm curious what the capacity will be in the Students/Student Club and Furniture Mart/Dakota Layers standing room/open areas at the east and west ends. If sections 212 & 213 have approximately 220 seats, then that gives you an idea of the capacity of the 11 suite/6 loge areas pictured here.

Are 217 & 219 going to be student sections? I wasn't sure if there are bleachers or seats.

Today's open house announcement still references seating capacity of "about 5,000." How do we not know, at this stage, how many seats there will be?

Does t have something to do with the student hospitality deck? I assume this area is for standing students without a specified number of “seats”.

            3800 seats
            1000 student seats
            200 people in suites

There will be some standing room also up on top on the ends.

Got a peek at the arena today. Can’t say there are any huge differences from spring to now. The new 360* video board looks interesting. The new padded chairs will be nice. The new floor is down but not finished.

The video board looks humungous from what little ive seen thats been posted online. And it looks circular instead of the squared design which is pretty standard i think. Cant wait to see how it all turns out. Any word on the court?

A few new takes on the reno, lookin good! At first I thought the board was too big but the old one had so much wasted space that wasnt a screen the new one might be very efficient. Only a matter of time.
