  • SDSU gear (Hats, shirts, hitch covers, etc.)

Everybody wants it, so I thought I would consolidate it down to one thread.  I was at the bookstore this past weekend (in for the Stan Marshall) and got a chance to talk with some of the guys.  Not only will their space be bigger in the new and improved Student Union, but they also have big plans to take their game to the next level.  They have a lot of new cool stuff already (love the Jackrabbit Golf stuff and tailgate chairs) with more on the way.  They are working to make their internet site more encompassing and representative of their total offerings.  They are also planning on returning to Coughlin-Alumni and Frost Arena.  Good news on all fronts.  Here is a link to their site:

Also don't forget that our friends at the Alumni Association have some great offerings as well.  Including, but not limited to, SDSU hitch covers and SDSU license plates for those who live in South Dakota.  Here is a link to their site:

Finally as was discussed on the other threads the Sports Connection in Downtown Brookings, Scheels in Sioux Falls, and Wal-Mart also have lots of Jacks gear.  So it is time to stock up and show your Jackrabbit pride!  8)

What a novel idea from our old foe down south...

Perhaps their move to DI will soon follow.

I doubt it! I think USD must first master running a D2 program before considering a move up.

Just looks like the U is ahead of SDSU in the marketing area - billbords, logos, scoreboards and now license plates.

SDSU South Dakota license plates have been available for a while now.

Hmmm ... I have never seen one. Must be slow to catch on.

I have and I live in Kansas City.  Here is a link to the original thread, the first reported work on the SDSU Lic. plate project occured on June 11, 2004 - on Aug. 30, 2004 it was reported that they would be available in Nov. of '04 - they were "advertised" starting in Dec. 2004.  So it looks like USD was only 7 months behind the State's only D-I University.  I guess you missed Rabbitlivinginverm's subtle dig at USD's "novel idea".

Here is what they look like:

P.S.  It is important to remember when talking about the scoreboards at USD and SDSU that Daktronics receives the revenue generated from the Coyote's boards and SDSU receives the revenue generated from the Jackrabbit boards.  Either way the money is coming to Brookings!   ;D

I live in Milwaukee and was in Minneapolis this weekend to watch the Angels v. Twins. I was also in Sioux Falls two weekends ago. Saw one of the SDSU licence plates in SD, Minneapolis and in WI on my way home from Minneapolis yesterday afternoon. Must be a huge coincidence that I live in Milwaukee and have seen the licence plate in 3 states, yet SPORTSFAN has never seen one. Get out of your basement much?

Took the nephews up to the games this weekend as well.  You and the old man must have been pretty pleased with the outcome of your Anaheim Angels. Sorry, as a Dodger fan I can't call them by anyother. I suppose your Uncle has a hard time with it also.  Take care

Had a great time up there. Of course, we picked the one game out of the 4 game series where the Angels lost, but it was good to be there. I still consider them the Anaheim Angels, myself. I'd imagine Jim would have a lot to say about them trying to hone in on the Dodgers' turf.

I have really noticed more SDSU merchandise around Sioux Falls lately. I saw some pretty nice memory foam pillows(very comfortable), package T-shirt and Hooded sweatshirt, some nice fitted hats, along with a lot of other nice T-shirts.

I made a stop at the bookstore while I was in Brookings yesterday and it is much larger than it used to be. I spent an hour looking around and picked up as much Jackrabbit gear that I could carry out. I did leave one or two items behind to give me an excuse to go over there again before the game next Saturday.

I also made the trip over to the Alumni Association to pickup my SDSU decals. I just put on the new plates on my car today and it looks pretty sweet. 8)

Does anyone know where I could get the flying SD sticker that's on the football helmet? I would love to stick that on the back window of my SUV.

The SDSU bookstore has some window decals, but I can't remember if I saw the flying SD.
