She's got a sweet pull-up jumper, and we haven't had a guard with that ability for a while. That'll make it even tougher to defend the perimeter.

You add quality quard play to this group of forwards and inside players and the Jacks will be solid.

Paluch and Heiser will have to provide backup minutes at the point next season,as it's 99 % that Gabby will redshirt because of her knee. I don't think Johnson or Young are strong enough against pressure to play the point.

I think that Sunnaborg and Macie will be the starters.
For the backups, I can see Schuttloffel be a backup a the 5-spot. I think her being a senior will help with positioning down low. She's not real tall but smart and strong down there. I don't know if Leah or the freshmen are strong/physical enough down there(this year). I don't know about Lingle, yet.
I think Paluch and Heiser will be good enough at the backup PG spot. They won't be as good at some things as Anderson but I think they will be more of a threat on the offensive end. Anderson was a senior so she had more experience at defense, ball handling and other things.

Agree that Sunnaborg has inside track at the 5 position. IMO Leah is more than strong enough to be the 4. Agree also with your comments on Paluch and Heiser.

What I like about our roster is that we have interchangeable parts. Players aren't pigeon holed into playing just one position. The way we run our offense and all the movement we have multiple post up opportunities from different players. Rotert is a wing and she was a very productive post up player for us.

AJ obviously recruits kids like this and it appears that Clarin and Walters will be able to do this as well.

I say Mariah should be the starter of course i am biased since I grew up in Princeton MN. Which is her hometown and she graduated the same year as me and i have a crush on her. Also she is a an excellent athlete of course but the point is she is talented, smart, and beautiful. All in all a real asset.

As good a reason as any..........I guess? I am sure the coaching staff will take this suggestion under consideration.

Mariah is so athletic the sky is the limit. She gets a little confidence and the game slows down a little for her she will be a force under the basket. I have to believe the Jacks coaching staff is relying heavily on her the coming season.

                      I was going to say it's OK to start new threads rather than resurrect three-year-old ones, but . . . er . . . um . . .

It's amazing what comes up in the off-season.

Regarding Mariah, she should be fighting to be a starter this upcoming season. Will need to get better control to avoid the foul issues she seemed plagued with last season. A real inside force on offense!

Her upside/potential is significant. I really want to see her succeed. She has the athleticism and size needed to help this team continue to compete against major conference teams.

I think stating a few words of praise for all the hard work these women put in is alright once in awhile,i think the whole team is on the verge of a great season, this year and especially the year after.....watch out for the rabbits, they'll be out looking to make a statement.
