Re: 2013 Recruiting
Congratulations to our newest verbally committed recruit,Chynna Stevens ,and her Northern Lites team mates on their championship of the Miss Basketball Minn Showcase tournament. In the title game, Miss Stevens scored 14 pts as her team defeated the ND Freeze 66-46.Also,congratulations go out to the rest of her team, including Heidi Hoff (USD recruit) and Riley Nordgaard (Augie)Link...http://www.missbasketball.com/minn/2...ensbracket.pdf
AS a side note, since it pertains to the Miss basketball Minn Showcase,Caitlin Duffy (St Thomas Moore)broke Sammantha Logics record for Avg pts scored in the tournament,Samantha had 18.33 per game ,Caitlin scored at a 18.75 pts per game pace.(Sammantha Logic is a very big recruit for the Iowa Hawkeyes).Emily Fedders (Yankton?) was also a scoring machinee during the tournament.Last edited by jackdaniel; 06-27-2011, 11:50 AM.

Yep, Watertown Public Opinion today had a short story with a picture, reporting Chynna Stevens made a verbal commitment to be a Jackrabbit!

Re: 2013 Recruiting
I do know that in the MBA job races in the Chicago market MBA'S carried a great deal of weight if they were from Northwestern University and/or U of Chicago. Having an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Business did not carry much weight so I found. Kellar is now owned by Drvy.
I would concur with JackJD comments and what you do as an undergrad counts a great deal so I found out when I had GI Bill funds to use and applied to a number of grad schools in the Chicago area. My low GPA at SDSU killed me on enterance scores. The GMAT test and and entrance scores where based on 200 times your GPA for the final two years of undergrad school. Why the low GPA at SDSU? I came totally unprepared in terms of emotional maturity and did not apply myself the first two quarters. Yes SDSU did have quarters at one time and converted to semesters my junior year.
I don't know what this has to do with Women's bb, but I believe our ladies have all done well in the class room. I would put them up against a degree from Purdue, and a low GPA from Purdue would find themselves in the same stew that I experienced about 30 years ago. The preceptions have not changed over the decades. GPA's tell a lot about the person who is applying for the job.Last edited by Nidaros; 06-18-2011, 03:37 PM.
