I think realtime rpi does a good job identifying good wins, bad losses, etc. , with thier little symbols in the left hand margin of the schedule and results.

I'd like to see us get in the 13 seed or better range to have a more realistic chance of making the sweet 16.12th being the best, as they play 4th seed in second round, all the rest have to play seeds 1,2,or 3,unless, of course, they get upset in rd 1.

Are we collectively forgetting that this team was an -underseeded- #7 in 2009?

That's where SDSU needs to be playing. Single digits and expected to advance to the second round.

Forget this "#12 is good enough" They should be aiming to be favorites.

          Watch Butler tonight?

That is what the women's program needs to strive towards. I don't see this as being an unrealistic goal. They play in a conference that's only going to usually get one team in the dance unless Butler has a gaudy record and gets beat in their conference title game. Take your lumps and piss and moan about seeds for a few years until they knock off some higher seeds numerous times. Earned a #5 seed this year and their slow, methodical, fundamental guys took out a team who was once #1 in the country this year to go to the Elite 8.

Plus they've had coaching turnover in their nice run of tournament appearances.

How many days until next season starts? I'm too lazy to count.

For OOC games Jacks WBB should have:

              Ariz St @ Frost
              Il St @ Frost???
              @ Middle TN

Is Iowa coming to Frost or was that a 1&done there last year?
WKU was the last in that series, same with Gonzaga (shame, there is a GREAT team to play!), UNI should be done.

There should be a tourney for 2 or 3 games, so only 4-5 more games to book.

Hope Jacks can line up some Big 10/12/East teams to some home/home. Top A-10/CAA/ MVC teams would be great also.

Would loves to see some other area regional teams come to Frost like Wyoming, Wisconsin Green Bay, Creighton, Iowa, Iowa State,Drake,Wisconsin and Marquette. Would not agree to play the Gophers or Nebraska until they play us at Frost.

                  Agreed.

I'd love to see us win a third in a row against the Gophers. That's why Borton probably won't come to Brookings.

Minnesota finished in eleventh place in the Big Ten. That is never good. I wonder how long Borton will be there?

A while, under contract through 2014 at $500k per. Reusse has a column on the status of the big four coaches at MN. There are a lot of issues and paying off that contract is down on the list.

I would expect Aaron to be on the short list if and when they fire Pam Borton. Another year like this one and expect they will begin looking at ways to buy out that long term contract.

Exactly. With that said, lets hope the gophers turn it around and Coach Borton stays with them for many years to come.

Pretty sure they won't consider AJ for the job at Minnesota.

                              He's a guy.

The gophs have had 9 WBB coaches. All of them women.

Never say never. Its all about winning. I am pretty sure AJ would seriously consider the job if it would become available. Same recruiting area, bigger/better facilities, longer contracts and did I mention $500,000.00 dollars vs the $120 ish he is making now. Come-on Pam, pick it up a little bit.
