    Re: ORU--Round 3

Centenary has agreed to honor its commitment and play in the Summit next year but that's it. So, 2010-2011 is last year for Centenary.

I think this statement is a rip on a great player in this league and seeing her in person for 3 games, she is a gamer! I thought the whole atmosphere would get to her and maybe it did alittle but it was not near as noticeable as to how we played for about 5 minutes.

Luper and Bingham and the rest of the ORU team played like champions and they deserved everything received in awards etc... Fun game to watch!

I post a album of pictures for people to view!

Classy move by ORU Coach to try and kick ball at the end of the game. They have to just be fit to be tied to have play the conference championship up here. Thanks for playing! Have a safe trip home!

Reports are that he also kicked the scoreboard during the game and cracked the DAKTRONICS BOARD! Where do we send that bill?

Fink is a real piece of work. In the presser afterwards, an Oklahoma reporter asked Kevi about the charge and she said she "begs to differ" with the call. I have a problem with a reporter asking a student athlete to question a call. That was bad enough, but then Fink went on a little whine about a couple of other calls... and to step away from the brink, he finished with, "But we're good losers at Oral Roberts."

          Right. Good losers.
          Holy nutmeg!

I will say this, that ORU stayed on the bench after the game and watched the Jacks get their trophy. Oakland last year ran off the floor and the All-Tournament selections did not even come out to receive the recognition.

That would be called motivation for next year.

And how about the halftime guy.

                    Made layup
                    made free throw
                    made nba 3 pointer
                    made halfcourt shot

                    all in 25 seconds.

                    UN

                    BEE

                    LIEVABLE!!

If that isnt top ten tonight, I don't know what is.

As for the game/tournament, color me un-impressed with how ORU played the first 2 games. Giving up 80 to SUU and not handling UMKC nearly as well as I thought they would.

We started to get up on the them pretty good today and by God if they didn't flip a switch and start playing that press and moses malloy I've never seen such defense. (didn't make the ORU game at frost). Thank God I'm not a Jackrabbit women's basketball player, because I would've just taken myself out of the game, no way, no how could we get a pass off for awhile there without it being tipped, stolen, kicked, grabbed, flicked, hit, punched, batted, you name it.

                      Never seen anything like it.

Also, thank God I don't have to watch Janae Voelker play anymore. If she whined to the refs one more time I was going to blow a gasket.

...you'd think by watching the press conference that every call in the history of mankind went against Oral. Watching the game live, I didn't think Macie got there in time....watching it on DVR, I think she did. Either way Luper, it wasn't that call that lost the game...care to talk about your 712 turnovers?

On a personal note, I'll just say that the Filbert/Snookums household is a two-bid family for the second straight year . . .

Was she the one who couldn't put her arms straight down at her sides because she was so ripped?

Luper is a nice talent, but she has some maturing to do. I realize these are emotional times, but one's true character shines through in times of greatest turmoil. On the other hand, I was surprised with Coach Finkbiners (sp?) perspective & calm. The outcome of the game did not come down to any blown calls - JUST THE WAY IT SHOULD BE, it was decided by the student athletes.

                              Go Jacks!
