I vote for her dropping 25 in each of her next 3 games

Big game for Ketty tonight, but lets face it she needs to step up in the games against tougher opponents where we really need her like ORU.

Well...I completely spaced this game off...forgot all about it until my dad called and said "what game that was, huh?"

The Jacks needed (and should've) to come and put a shellacking on Centenary, and they did.

          Glad to hear it.

Let's do it again Saturday vs. UMKC.

Yes, they should have and did beat them, but c'mon they still had like 15 TO's against a horrible team.

Look at the TO numbers from last year's team.

Turnovers seems to be a real popular topic on this board when discussing this year's team and how it is hurting our performance. Here are the turnover numbers for the past few seasons according to the stats on www.gojacks.com

2009-2010 season 20.1 per game (current 12-9 record)
                2008-2009 season 15.8 per game (32-3 record)
                2007-2008 season 17.9 per game (23-7 record)
                2006-2007 season 18.5 per game (25-6 record)

Yes, the turnovers are up from the past few seasons but not astronomically higher.

An average of 5 more per year from 08/09 is significantly higher. That's a lot of possesions.

JackGuyII, I agree 4.3 (the actual difference in TO's) possessions is a lot of possessions. We also are forcing 1.7 less turnovers per game.

I have to agree. Any player or any team is only as good as they play against the best of opponents. When things aren't going so well we try to find any bright spot we can. Then reality hits again when we play a good team and find that we can not perform to the same level. The unanswered question is whether the Jack's will have individual and team performance at a consistant and high level before years end?

The game against UMKC Sat. will give the team an opportunity to show that they can beat a team they've lost to previously, something they couldn't accomplish against ORU.Hopefully they don't start the game like they're still playing against Centenary.Time to build up some steam & establish some momentum for the rest of this rapidly diminishing season.

That is a net loss of 6 possessions per game.

But, more to the point, SDSU has always had what could be considered a high turnover rate. AJ is fine with that, as he equates it to aggressive ball movement.

IMO, performances as the one against ORU are inexcusable. But on the whole, the Jacks have gotten better at holding onto the ball as the season's gone on, so I'm not inclined to say that turnovers are as big an issue as, say, consistency of effort from game to game.
