SturgisJeff, thanks for that update. I would love to know what NDSU does against them to keep them in check for a game and a half so far. Knowing how NDSU plays, I am guessing (only a guess) that when they break the pressure of ORU they get into their offensive sets instead of continuing to attack and play fast. Am I close?

they play uptempo and run with them bison have had the turnovers but not like us. the press they either bring three back and pass or run it. also stay three low to get offensive rebounds. they play ORU much better than we do.

ORU also plays the bison different they dont do the full court press unless they start to panic or want to make something happen. bison also have two girls down low to block the lanes but Luper is starting to score in the paint. 49 41 1515 bison. eagles also do pretty much the two three zone and send two girls after the ball when it comes inside the time line.

59 43 1126 second bison. ORU has not run a full court press yet. like I said the bison are putting a girl on the lines to block the lanes and it is working. making for hard shots for luper and bigham plus the bison are staying put and getting the rebounds totally different looking eagles tonight

bison on offense spread the court out, two low one near each out of bound line just inside the time line. when the eagles come out and press two on one or three on one the bison pass or split the press and move one of the girls inside for a pass and easy bunny.

How did it go from a blowout to single digits back to a 25 point game so quickly?

An hour ago it was 34-25 with 3:15 left in the half. Jacks have kablasterficated and pattonized since.

meantime, WIU trails IPFW by one at home with 90 seconds left in a game in which it appears both teams combined have missed approximately their last 10 shots.
