    Re: Oru gdt

This year's women's team has issues (mostly with turnovers and rebounds, IMO) they are going to have to figure out if they want to win the regular season much less conference tournament.

First time since the 00-01 season SDSU has lost multiple home games in a season.

        1. It's almost always harder to stay on top than it is to get there. Everyone needs an occasional reminder of their human frailties in every endeavor.
        2. The posters who in November were speculating about March tournament seeds might want to revise and extend their arguments.

Call me a skeptic, but right now I think its going to be very difficult for SDSU to make it back to the Sweet Sixteen. The talent is definitely there, but our over all experience might not be at the same level it was last year. I certainly dont want to single out any one person as negative. Our ladies played their hearts out and getting behind to a team like ORU does not make easy for a come back. The best I can grade is "E' for effort and unfortunately too many missed shots and turnovers, plus we did not seem to have the defense scheme to slow ORU new players down.

ORU coach seems like a very nice guy. From his comments in post game, it sounds like this might have been their Super Bowl to this point in the season.

He made a comment to the effect of, if they would have played tonight like they did on Saturday at NDSU, SDSU would have won by 25.

I really enjoy the post game pressers on gojacks.com.

Congrats to ORU on the win, hopefully we can return the favor at their place.

Yep. I love the talent on the team, it's just real raw right now. Someone earlier in the year asked AJ about how young the team is, and he replied something to the affect of, "well, the team has always been young, look at Jill Young last year"....

but man, it seems like Jill was the only freshman getting a signifigant amount of minutes, this year, Eide, Paluch, Dietel, and to a smaller extent, Lingle are all getting serious time....all real talented, but all real raw.

Some Jacks fans are just to much. No it's not possible that the mighty Jacks women could ever lose to a team that NDSU just beat. Yeah it must have been a fluke because we all know that NDSU isn't any good.

Oh grow up. The ORU coach said it, not anyone from SDSU. I have not detected anyone here not giving ORU their due. Go back to your pasture.

Dude, chill...he was just relaying what their coach said.

...not to be nit-picky, but we haven't been to the Sweet 16 as a D1 school. I do understand what you're saying though. We cannot handle quick, athletic teams. I'm so glad that we get to watch those two ORU freshman guards for the next 3+ years

Opps thats right, it was Baylor who made the Sweet Sixteen, but we were close and I dont believe at this point in the season that we will get closer, but who knows.

I think that we are a bit spoiled as WBB fans. Last year was a year that not many teams experiece. The only team with as wany wins as us was Uconn. I have stated it before that the bar has been set to an almost unreachable level. How many teams nationwide expect to go undefeated in conference play? This team is talented, they just happen to be following in the footsteps of some that were even better.
