yeah. Talking about them and not in the context of 'I wonder when they'll be arraigned.'

Put another way, is there ANY reasonable possibility that any team but the Jacks can win the regular season Summit crown next season? Oakland should be the #2 pick, but they lost more and I believe bring in less than the Jacks. Again, the 7-14 players for the Jacks should be so good that they would start for all the other Summit team.

Jacks are poised to dominate WBB like ORU does in baseball.
I think the Bison recruited two very good players & should probably be in the top 3 again this year, considering how well they did last year with no depth at all.Linz from Minn. & the Canadian girl, are thier two best recruits by reading about thier senior season's anyway.Only time will tell.

IMHO Bison are likely to be #3 next year.

Oakland lost 3 games to Summit opponents last year, two of those losses being the Jacks. Their other loss was that early Dec. road game at SUU. Both the Jacks and Oakland are below 100 RPI type teams, and all the rest will start in the 150+.

Before the Summit starts consistently getting 2 teams to the NCAA dance, they need to bring the teams to a sub 150 RPI for the ENTIRE conference. Summit has a ways to go.

I believe NDSU recruit Hannah Linz set a Minnesota HS record for most 3's made and 3 pt fg%. She's a lefty that could be a Jill Young-type (maybe).

Oakland only lost 2 of their top 7 players. I guess you could say they lost 2 of their top 3 but they have most everybody back after that. I think SDSU is in better shape but I think Oakland will be good. I see them as the 2nd best team and then NDSU. I was surprised at how they did in the WNIT. After playing SDSU tough all 3 times, I thought they would make a run.
These three teams might rule the league for years.

Same could have been said about the Jacks in WNIT '08. FYI, Oakland's first round opponent. won the MAC regular season, but got beat in the conference tourney by the team that beat TN in the NCAAs. Not exactly a pushover team.

IMHO NDSU is likely to achieve a win vs Jacks ummmmm maybe by 2012? Heck, even McFeely at Fargo Forum so stated......

              In 2008.

Next years team, besides having to be successful for the year, which i'm very confident that they will be, it will also have to be a player development year as after next yr ., we lose Ketty, Maria, & Allison. I for one will be watching for many more players to elevate thier play next year, as they will be called upon more & more to play & contribute in next couple years.I'm confident they will, but it will still be fun to watch.I like to watch players develop after each year & get better & better.I'm becomming a real basketball "junkie" after this years outstanding season, can't wait for summer to get over with , lol!.....of course, that's like wishing your life away hmmm!

Yes,i really enjoy the summer months too!Just one more thought, I've noticed that the women players are getting taller & taller, it'll be pretty hard for the good players that aren't tall to get scholarships to play in college, except for the pg position where speed & ball handling & perimeter shooting skills are required, however , if there's a choice between a 5'6" & a 6'1" pg who have similar skills , I would bet 99 out of a hundred times the taller player would win out. That's what i liked about womens basketball compared to the mens game , it wasn't all about height, but it has developed to the point where taller girls are now playing at all positions.Minn just got a point gaurd, her names China something, can't think of her last name right now, but the first thing questioned about her was her size, she was short, but even at the point gaurd position , everyone wants height.

Michigan State got a verbal from a 6'7" girl for 2010 at center I believe. They already have Alyssa DeHaan at 6'8".

Minnesota's got Loberg at 6'4, Dvorak is comming in at 6'7" & the top ranked prep for minn for 2010 is Rochel at 6'3" The best experience we gained playing against a big women was Whitehead, think Coleman of Maryland was kinda tall too.Oakland's Carnago was a good shot blocker, she's a junior next year i think.Julia Whitehead wasn't too much of a problem though , because she wasn't very mobile, kind of slow & plodding.Hope we play Minnesota again, they're finally getting better recruits, although , strangely enough, they're short at the gaurd position.Would like to see a rivalry develop with them. That would be fun.Oops, Coleman is "only" 6'1".Purdue invited a girl to campus who was 6'5" tall.
