    Re: 2007 Recruits ?

supposedly yes... could be all rumor tho... I know from talking to her it was a really tough decision for her that she made late last summer.  I am happy for her and I hope she does have a great career at NDSU (Just not against us!

I don't know but i've watched abby play and not to take anything away from her but i did not think she was a d-1 player. she is undersized forces too much and doesn't move well without the ball, this could just be because she was on a bad high school team but thats just what i noticed. good luck to her but I think sdsu made a good decision by letting her go and getting Rottert, Schulttloffel, and that chick from minnesota, those players will convert to college better then plucker will in my opinion.

Abby Plucker is an outstanding high school basketball player. AJ did not "let her go", she just picked NDSU, and I wish her well. I admire the fact that she is going to do what she feels is best for her. This is a great year for senior talent in South Dakota girls basketball, and we do not need to get every one of the good players in state to have a successful class.

I am also looking forward to "that chick" from Minnesota playing here. She also decided that playing at a school out of her home state is what is best for her. I would suggest, though, that we lose the phrase "that chick" before she gets here. Her name is Macie Michaelson. It is listed right here in this thread.

Abby is much the same player as those three, similar in position to about 4 others already on the roster. NDSU offered after watching Abby play in Wisconsin in AAU ball for me. She played a 1 and 2 with that group and was outstanding on floor. Even better kid off it. She will be a fine player at NDSU and she would have been a fine player at SDSU. AJ did not need any more 2's and 3's on that roster. SDSU recruited her for awhile and simply went a different direction as did she. Both will have success.

For those of you in SD you can watch Kristen Rotert play in about 10 minutes on tv. McCook Central plays the nightcap in the State A tournament. Depending on how they do you might be able to watch her play 3 nights in a row. For those of you that don't live in SD, you can go to www.sdpb.org and watch the games on webcast. I think you guys are going to be really happy with Rotert next year.

Brandon Valley pulls off the upset. BV defeats Roosevelt 64-46. Jennifer's better days are in her future at SDSU.

Even the losers bracket? That's cool, they don't normally do that.

SDPB does all 12 games from each tourney they cover. They started doing it last year when they took over the contract. This week they will do the boys "B" so everyone can get a look at Louie Krogman and judge for themsleves what level he can play when it comes to college.

Macie Michelson's team from Marshall had their season end with a 64-52 loss in the 2AAA sectional to a team from Worthington led by a couple of Maria Boever's younger sisters. Macie had 25 points in the game and ended her career with over 2100 points. I am excited about watching her play in Frost Arena.

Does Maria have a younger brother named Gabrielle? He put up 21 pts and had 7 rebounds in a close post-season loss as a freshman..hopefully Maria tells Coach Nagy about him!

"Becker Bounces Worthington; Boever Scores 21 Points In Loss
It was nip-and-tuck most of the way, but the top-seeded Becker Bulldogs persevered for a three point victory over the Number eight-seeded Worthington Trojans, 67-64.

Becker (29-1) advances to the semifinals, while Worthington (18-8) goes home with the satisfaction of qualifying for state for the sixth time, and also knowing they nearly upset the Number one seed of the tournament.

Junior forward Brianna Mastey led the Bulldogs with 27 points and also snagged 15 rebounds. The Dogs shot only 35 percent in the first half, but more than doubled that in the second half to improve their game percentage to 49 percent.

Sophomore guard Rey Robinson was the only other Becker player in double figures with 12 points.

Ninth-grade guard Gabrielle Boever had a team-high 21 points and 7 rebounds for the Trojans."

Correct, this is Maria's sister. She was mentioned on Terry's blog a little while ago.

Freshman guard Gabrielle Boever - younger sister of Jacks freshman Maria Boever - had 21 points and seven rebounds for Worthington High School in a Minnesota Class 3A state quarterfinal loss to top-ranked Becker on Wednesday. And junior guard Whitney Verdegan, whose big sis, Andrea Verdegan runs the point for SDSU, had 15 points and four steals in leading Flambeau High School to a second consecutive Wisconsin Division 4 state title last weekend. I’m not sayin’, I’m just sayin’.
