So that is what the "Augie Advantage" is about
"The purpose of life is not to be happy - but to matter, to be productive, to be useful, to have it make some difference that you have lived at all."

Two of Creighton's recruits from the Class of 2007 are rated in the 90's in the Top 100 nationally...along with Jill, they have a chance to be a very special team...Jill may have saw this as an opportunity to make the NCAA's and have a chance to do something, nothing against SDSU (they will contend also), as they were both very close in the race for her..she also considered Missouri State, another top team in the Missouri Valley
Word is there is a juco girl from Wyoming interested in SDSU..she hit 14 threes in a game and 55 pts in that same game as a sophomore in high school.was All-State threes times and won two state championships in high school..enough to get letters of interest (no offer though) from Tennessee..was going to attend U. of Wyoming but didn't qualify academically.NOW i know what you're thinking.."but we're the top academic team in the nation"..however this young lady is working hard to get her act together....we will see how she does the next two years! I personally think she would look good in a Jacks uni..she's Diana SoundingSides #14! google her name

Not sure AJ is a big JUCO guy. In fact, I can't think of a JUCO transfer that has played a major role on one of his teams. Great info, however. I think Jill made the best choice for her, thats what its about. I love watching her play and wish she would have done it in a Jack's uniform but you can't always get what you want.

I remember following Becky closely while she was at Creighton. The Wakonda teams of that era were amazing. I don't think SD ever had 6 on 6 ball.

One for a fellow DI school. I think her comment about the first offer provides some insight. We may not have even offered just mentions that we showed interest. Maybe we were planning a later offer. All speculation.
Prep girls basketball: Memorial's Hayes accepts Cleveland State offer
By Dennis Semrau
Justine Hayes didn't have to think twice when she received a scholarship offer to play Division I college basketball.
The Madison Memorial 6-foot forward knew she wanted to make her decision before she began her senior basketball season, and she wanted to play in a big city.
A road trip to Ohio sealed the deal.
Hayes said Sunday that she made a verbal commitment last Friday to attend Cleveland State and play for head coach Kate Peterson, a former University of Wisconsin assistant coach.
"When I made my official visit to Cleveland two weeks ago, I knew it was a good fit for me," said Hayes, who also drew interest from Wichita State, UW-Milwaukee, Wisconsin, South Dakota State and Bradley. "Cleveland State was the first one to make an offer and that was important to me."

Milbanks Amber Wollschlager, a 6-foot junior, was at Sundays SDSU womens basketball game. Wollschlager is an all-state volleyball player and, according to my colleagues, one of the best basketballers in the state.

WILLMAR From the get-go, Macie Michelson and Marshall were too much for Willmar Tuesday.
Michelson, who recently signed to play Division I at South Dakota State University, netted 22 points to help the Tigers post a 63-43 win over the Cardinals in a non-conference girls basketball game. . . . (read more)
I noticed on the Argus website that a couple more future Jacks had nice games. Rotert from McCook Central had 31 points and 11 rebounds in leading her team to a win over Vanessa Johnson's West Central team. Johnson had 15 points, I believe. The future looks bright.

Young has signed to play at Creighton next season and Rotert will play at South Dakota State. Both played with SD Elite this past summer.
This is the schedule for the HansonClassic in Mitchell. I think the game is this Saturday, maybe someone can confirm the date. It is a good chance to see SDSU's 2007 recruit, in Rotert.
