Oakland just beat IUPUI 71 to 53 but it looked like on gametracker the game may have been closer that the score. IUP played a bad first half like the Jacks but played a better second half.

Is that a pattern with Oakland, get'em down early with a fierce defense & hope you can ride out a win?
We outscored Oakland in the 2nd half, don't see us getting in that big of a hole again with Oakland in the first half this time around.

This is what I noticed. At 1 point we were 2 of 3 behind the 3-point line and (about) 1 of 10 from inside it. Only 1 of those shots were from outside 5 feet. They were all layups or really short jumpers. I think SDSU pushed it low so hard that they just threw up tough shots when they were double/triple teamed down low.
I think at that point SDSU was down 8 to 3 in turnovers, too.
I would rather see the team miss a shot , than throw the ball around till it gets picked off, or the opposing team gets a turnover. That's a complete waste of a posession. But, I understand what you were saying, shot selection wasn't the greatest and being patient with the ball for a good shot could have resulted in a lot higher % of those shots falling in.

Good point. 2nd worst game of the year.
