    Re: 2007-2008 Schedule

If im not mistaken it use to be one pre-season tournament evey 4 years now its just the same tournament every 4 years so we could go to the WNIT one year the tournament in the Bahamas then next and so on as long as you don't attend the same 1 every 4 years.. I don't know if this will help your ? or not

any chance of Nebraska, Minnesota, Colorado or Missouri making a trip to frost next season??

I doubt it. We are not a secret anymore. We are among the good teams.

        Re: 2007-2008 Schedule

I suspect that Indiana could be talked into a home-n-home, and maybe others out of Big 10/12?

I've liked the SEC match-ups, and could see getting a 2fer1 with Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Ark, like have had with Alabama.

SEMO has been the power school in the OVC, and hopefully we can start getting on the Horizon OOC schedules (Valpo, UWGB/UWM)

It would be great to get a Long Island or mid-Atlantic tourney also.

Aw, the wish list is long, the women's NIT KNOWS we'll draw a great crowd, and if this year's final results are indicative of our "fit" into the Mid-Con, we will have to enter the Mid-Con as favorites in '07-08, which would be a return to the WNIT, as we're not NCAA eligible next season either. 8-) 8-)

AJ has done a super job of getting a good schedule put together, and I suspect he'll continue with that success.

          Re: 2007-2008 Schedule

Here is some of the article Terry wrote about the scheduling woes of Wyoming and SDSU because of the post season and overall sucess.

Wyoming - 14-1 in the Dome of Doom this season - was able to schedule just three non-conference home games.

"It's difficult," said Legerski, who was an assistant at Utah for 12 years before taking over his alma mater. "The more we're going to win the more difficult it's going to get, and if we can get 10,000-12,000 in the building, it's going to be next to impossible to get games."

As SDSU, which went 14-1 at Frost Arena and set two new single-game attendance records and a new season average mark (2,753), is beginning to find out.

"We had a couple BCS teams that we had verbal agreements to play and both were in the WNIT," Jacks coach Aaron Johnston said, "and as the WNIT was announced and we went further, both of those agreements were canceled - not on our parts. It's not a big deal to me. Scheduling is a moving target for everybody and what you're looking for one month might change the next month, not based on people being afraid to play us but based on their other priorities. I think people feel, though, if they're going to play us it's not going to be an easy win."

I'm guessing that since the University of Oregon was previously mentioned as having a home and home starting next year and since Oregon made it to the WNIT, that Oregon may have backed out from playing the Jacks. This is too bad, since I planned on attending the game in Eugene if it landed on the weekend.

          Go State!!! 8-) 8-) 8-)

            WNIT question

What do you have to do to be invited to the pre-season WNIT? The 2007 Pre-season WNIT is headlined by Maryland. I just checked past results and Belmont participated in the 2006 post-season WNIT and played in the 2006 pre-season. So did Hofstra. Anyway! My question is, is SDSU going to try and play in this? That would be sweet! ;D

I think it has been expressed on this board in another post that the WNIT showed interest in SDSU playing on the 2007 pre-season WNIT but we already had games in place during the time of this event. Correct me if I'm wrong.
