Pretty impressive first half on the offensive end and not bad defense either. Oakland will regroup at the half and make a run. We need to hold them off and put this game away with time to spare. So far, so good.
We are here to add what we can to life, not get what we can from life. -Sir William Osler
We do not see things as they are, we see things as we are.
Nice finish to the half, plunking down another 3, then making Oakland try a desperation shot from beyond half-court.
Our women came to play tonight! I hope they have another 20 minutes like the first half in them.
Over on Terry's blog I posted my Safe Lead Formula: 10 points plus twice the number of minutes remaining in the game. So, a safe lead at halftime is 30 points.
("Safe Lead" defined as a lead where, as a fan in the stands or on the couch, you can start feeling pretty good about life in general and your team's chances to win the game in particular, because your team's got a lead that the other team isn't likely to come back from. It ain't perfect but it works pretty well, I think.)
Therefore, the Jacks with a 16-point lead halftime lead are Not Safe yet. It's much, much better than being 16 points behind, however . . .
UPDATE: Er, yeah. 10 + 2x20 is 50, not 30. I'll go over into the corner, now.

Reason: Really bad arithmetic
It took some screwing around and help from others to realize that there's a wbb in the address line. Simply change the w to an m to find the men's tracking software.
