  • Oakland, Jan 7

The Jackrabbits remain home for a Monday night game against Oakland University, starting at 7:00 p.m. Oakland's women are off to a 10-3 start, the team's best since joining Division I (first official DI season: 1999-00). On Saturday, the Grizzlies rolled over NDSU in Fargo, 80-67, led by April Kidd's 22 points.

Here's Oakland's report on the win over the Bison: http://www.ougrizzlies.com/story.asp?sportid=7&a=3759

The Jackrabbits are 9-5 for the season and with everybody in uniform, I'm predicting a game close much of the way with the Jackrabbits winning by 10: SDSU 75, Oakland 65.

Shouldn't "At" be removed from the subject?

Number one son is home from San Francisco, so we are going to go visit Grandma and Grandpa in Volga and take in the game tonight.

I think this could be the toughest home conference game this year. I understand that Oral Roberts beat us but that was when we were injured. We go on the road, beat up and only lose by 10. I think Ketty and Stacy aren't all the way back and the team doesn't fully understand their roles or rotations, yet. In a couple weeks, I'm expecting a team that plays about like last years team.
NDSU is a rivalry game but I don't see them coming here and beating us.

Every game my father comments on you BHM..."there's that guy again, he never sits"
or saturday night when you finally sat a minute during a TO "what? he sat down!?

"I know" I said, "and he does it for EVERY basketball game, and volleyball game and maybe even wrestling...he's hardcore, like every fan should be, especially students."

Then we went on to commend you for your loyalty to Jackrabbit athletics.

Now, having said that, I won't be able to make it to tonights game, kind of a bummer, because Oakland is going to be tough, but I should have it on the radio and be here for updates.

                    Thanks Rod.
Did some counting, coming up on my 200th men's game against Southern Utah, my 200th women's game will be against Oral Roberts at the end of the year. That said I've been to almost every game since I was six, or about 17 years ago. Next year is possibly the last year as I graduate. Looking forward to seeing how good Oakland is tonight, it will be a fun one if the girls play good. If anyone is at the game tonight and wants to make some noise, come down to the front row of the student's side, throwing out the Open Challenge.

Back home in Lee's Summit and online with Summit TV . . . listening to AJ's pregame show and watching the crowd file in. Not sure what the crowd will be--hoping for the best.
