SDSU travels to Valparaiso, IN for a 1:35 p.m. game Sunday.
The Crusaders fell to Notre Dame Wednesday, 94 - 56. Their record stands at 3 wins, 6 losses but their win/loss trend shows they've been playing better in recent games. The season so far:
Loss at Bowling Green, 56-81
Loss at Purdue, 62-65
Loss at Cincinnati, 69-96
Loss at Xavier, 53-64;
Loss (away tourney) to Eastern Kentucky 64-66
Win (away tourney) over Central Connecticut, 75-67
Win hosting Ball State, 64-55;
Win hosting North Texas, 73-61
Loss at Notre Dame, 56-94
So, they're 2-0 at home.
Kulaga, a 5' 6" junior is their leading scorer, averaging 13.2 pts per game; followed by Litka, a 5' 9" junior with 12.3 pts per game average.
It appears they're no taller than the Jackrabbits and at times the Jacks will have a taller team on the floor.
Here's the story from their last game, the loss to Notre Dame Wednesday night (from Valpo's website): http://valpo.edu/athletics/news/wbb/...eDameRecap.php
I've been on Valpo's campus. Their student enrollment is about 4,000 to 5,000 if you include graduate students (I think the undergrad enrollment is about 4,000).
