Seems like the women's b-ball team is plagued with bad feet syndrome. The latest victim is Stacie, to go along with Jen and Laura. Apparently, other players have suffered feet problems as well, since they started using the new brand of shoes. It would be quite a coincidence to have this many players with the same foot problem and not be shoe related. What say you??

Re: Bad Shoes or Bad Feet?
Well it has happened again, this time it is Ketty who is wearing the infamous boot with a stress fracture. Seems like a no brainer to me........ before Nike mandated shoes no problem, since wearing the shoes, big problems. Any foot doctors out there with an opinion on this?>?

Just talked with Ketty's dad at the wrestling match and he told me about her. They are at a loss as to what is going on. Ketty's fracture is near her toes and her right foot. Thinking they may have to cut down on the running for a while till they figure out what is going on. She is out for at least two and probably three weeks.

Re: Bad Shoes or Bad Feet?
This problem is crazy. Does anyone know how many people this happened to last year? They need to switch shoes, regardless of cutting back on running or not. This is getting pathetic. If our return trip to the WNIT is cut short because of foot injuries due to crap shoes, I'm gonna be ticked.

Re: Bad Shoes or Bad Feet?
I hadn't heard that Ketty had a boot on. She seemed fine Saturday evening when I last saw her. That will be another big loss for us as they head to Utah. I know Jenn and Laurie were starting practice this week, but doubt they will play, or at least get meaningful time on the floor (I hope I'm wrong on that score!) But it won't surprise me if we play Utah tough even with four injured SDSU players. Somebody does HAVE to figure out what is going on.

Re: Bad Shoes or Bad Feet?
I know this: ask runners about brands of running shoes and there are some common feelings about certain brands and there seems to be some consensus among runners. For most runners putting on any mileage, you'll see them wearing Asics with Mizunos gaining in popularity. New Balance seems to be considered a problem-free brand, too. Of course, every brand has its loyal supporters and detractors.
