Timmer's disruptive defense is always a huge factor - - tipped balls, passing lane denials, quick double-downs, and legal guarding position-vs-drivers - - Paige, Maddy, & Haleigh are agile and gritty - - total impact is not shown in data-driven analysis.

And if you watch any replays, there will be many trips to the floor for loose balls and tie ups. The constant desire to win each play is obvious.

I would disagree with that statement in a sense. With traditional stats like points, rebounds, assists and blocks; yes that data doesn't paint the full picture.

With advanced metrics like plus/minus, statcast and more NBA level data; Timmer would be unanimous First Team in the league. The coaches and fans know she will be a huge key in NCAA tourney wins.

Brooklyn is going to get taken away in the NCAA tourney; P Meyer, Timmer and Maddy will need to score to have success in the tourney.

I liked how Mesa was used to help draw the double team away and also times to slide some toward the double team on Brooklyn to get the pass. There is a wrinkle working to adapt to the defense using Mesa. Mesa is moving better without the ball. Keep an eye out for more development there.
