ONE- I dont really care what happens at Creighton and dont really care what the Ronsiek sisters want to do. i mean i am very happy that Creighton seems willing to schedule us every year. this is an excellent tradition for both teams!! and I like Flannery and he seems like a good bloke (had to use Oscars description of Hendo from last nights postgame with tyler), but at the end of the day, if CU loses players or not has very little impact on me

TWO- never really been a conspiracy guy

BUT something seems at least slightly fishy here, no? I mean if playing with family was so important, why did the little sis not just come to Creighton to begin with OR come to Creighton NOW? WHY would both sisters choose to play for the lesser team? beyond that if family is such a priority Creighton is WAY WAY easier for family to attend games, not to mention a very good program that resides even closer to home than Omaha

so anyway, I would say it is VERY SURPRISING to have a multi year starter LEAVE a team that is returning multiple other multi year starters from a team that previously made the sweet 16. at the end of the day it really does not matter to me, but it feels like something beyond just wanting to play with her sister

before last year, I thought very likely Vasecka was a day one starter this year or definitely works her way into the first 5 at some point

that said the injuries last year allowed a bunch of other players get a lot of experience and grow their own games. not saying she will not start at some point!! but I will also NOT be surprised if she remains as a key player off the bench for the whole year

if I remember correctly, Timmer did not start at all as a Freshman until injuries moved her up at the end of the year. and Timmer showed lots of flashes, but also showed that she was a Freshman. it took her a while to get really comfortable and then in the WNIT a lot of the games were like The Timmie Party

after 2 games (yes it is ONLY 2 games so a LOT can change) Vasecka has shown that she can have dominant moments but we also have a lot of talent and in last nights game she barely played in the 4th. instead AJ went a long stretch with Kolbeck to close the game

I think I will leave it at that, but here is yet another example of how WILDLY UNDERRATED Macy and Myah were coming out of high school. Macy came into an already excellent team and was pretty much the best player from day one. Myah had what became typical injury struggles, but it was also clear from day one that she was special. no matter how much hype any recruit has, 99.99% of them are not gonna come in and be Macy and most of them will not even be able to contribute consistently right away. we have been spoiled with Macy, Myah, Maddie, and Paige

        Really?? Timmer exceeds .....

I meant against opponents guarding her (insert eye roll emoji). Good to have lots of speed on our side!

            Creighton's pre-season #21 ranking may have been a reach. # 10 K-State up 22 on them going into the 4th.

Ayoka Lee had 28 points in 16 minutes. Perhaps this is a better indication of Kansas State's potential when Lee is healthy. Creighton just beat MVC favorite Drake. Those seniors are so experienced, I don't think there's any reason for concern. They still play Nebraska and UCLA before conference play starts.
