i do wonder classes wise if she is waiting for the surgery?? i assume spring break is in a few weeks. obviously that makes for a crappy springbreak
i would guess she would want the surgery as soon as possible, but we do have girls who are very serious about the student part of student athlete

Players from other schools loved coming to frost to shoot because of the relative square and uniform flow of the building. They have said they see the hoop better and rhe depth perception issues at larger arenas isnt an issue. If it changed the feel of what the eye is seeing, it could be a problem to a certain degree."The most rewarding things you do in life, are often the ones that look like they cannot be done.” Arnold Palmer

but overall, I think the Jacks enjoyed a great benefit from Frost being one of the most perfect shooting environments that i have come across in a life time of traveling to and coaching in MANY MANY different gyms!!!

I am sure i could come up with a LOT of examples. the two most painful, for me, memories of opponents getting way too hot shooting in Frost are Kendall from Metro St and Miller from Northern St in a couple of D2 region final games

That stupid metro st game. We got robbed. wasnt Schantz going for a lap up as time expired, undercut so missed the lay up. Looked pretty obvious he was fouled but game ended. Kendall if i recall was the best game of his career by far."The most rewarding things you do in life, are often the ones that look like they cannot be done.” Arnold Palmer

I am sure some of the Augie shooters had a good game or two in Frost, but i honestly dont remember one. have to imagine someone out of Karl Gonder, Randy Leslie, Kyle Jordre, or someone else i am not thinking of had at least one nice game
again, i dont remember specifically, but guessing Tim Hatchett or Randy Rosenquist did a bit of damage
i can tell you one good shooter who really never did have a great shooting game in Frost: Ben Woodside
the first 3 times he played in Frost we really held him in check. his final game he did score well (29) but if was more drives and shorter pullups
the other years he did most of his damage at the FT line and none of the other members of that amazing group of Bison players ever really had a great game in Frost either
as far as Kendall and the Metro St game. that might be my most haunting memory of Jacks basketball. I guaranteed everyone i knew that the Jacks and Metro were the two best teams in the country and whoever won our region would win the big trophy that year
Metro beat everyone in the Elite 8 by at least 15 and easily won the Championship
as far as Kendall, I am not gonna say that was for sure his career high, but i am very very close to positive it was by far his best game in that season. I am not even positive that he averaged double figure points that season, but I do believe he scored well for them the following year and i kinda think he did top that game. AGAIN, that is a while back and i am not guaranteeing my memory is perfect
on the game winner, we played GREAT D. Kendall was forced to put the shot up at the end of the shot clock and I will go to my grave believing that he did not even see the hoop when he put that shot up. he was well covered and shooting over a double team of Matt Jones and Andy Cone
I cannot say I remember thinking about Schantz being fouled. after the shot went in from Kendall, we took the ball out of the net and got it in immediately to Schantz. he took the ball on a straight line to the hoop and got the shot up. as i recall it, the ball rolled all the way around the rim as the horn sounded and trickled off. I think i was still in shock from Kendall's prayer getting answered and i am not sure how long after the game it took me to come back to a state of total reality
so i cannot say with great accuracy what happened on Schantz's drive
Matt Jones was a monster!! 16 points 16 boards
after the game Everyone said well the Jacks get everyone back next year. Jones got sick and was never close to the same. Moeller and Cerveny and Schantz all got hurt the next year and it was Austin Hansen and Chris Stoebner carrying us with an all conference team sitting on the bench in street clothes

went to Metro St historical stats
I was wrong about Kendall not scoring double figures that year. he was their second leading scorer. averaged 14.7 and went for 38 in that region final, but i was correct about him scoring more the following year. he tied for the team lead at 19.3 per game
Jacks outrebounded Metro by 13 including TWENTY FOUR offensive boards!! hard to imagine losing a game when you have 24 O boards, but Metro made 9 of 13 shots from the 3pt line
Nagy had to feel like it was Deja vu! Metro shot 69% from 3 to steal a region championship (and an ncaa championship, in my opinion) a handful of years before that game NSU shot over 70% to steal another region championship

It should also be noted that the Jackrabbits have locked up a top 2 seed for the SLT with 4 games to play.Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

Brooklyn Meyer made the player of the week for the Summit. She should be on a short list for POY.Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

but at this point, there is NO reasonable argument that anyone could give it to Paige over Brooklyn and I think Paige could be in the argument with anyone else, except Larkin. that is the only other player that could even have a reasonable case at this point in the season. obviously there are still 2 weeks left in the regular season
