  • GDT: Tommies vs Jackrabbits 12:30pm Premier Center/Midco Quarterfinal

The Tommies win the rock fight with the Leathernecks to advance from the play-in game. The Jackrabbits should be focused to dominate this 8 seed. I would assume the Jackrabbits have the memory of the Omaha upset a few years ago. The defense will likely be geared up for this contest. Do not look for a letdown from the Jackrabbits. Go Jacks!!
Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

you mean the game without Myah and Tori playing with one leg tied behind her back?)) I dont think the Tommies are gonna get those gifts))

but more to your point, i think this team has shown a lot of ability to keep their focus. I HOPE and BELEIVE that will continue for the 3 games in SF. I think they are pretty determined to finish the Summit part of the season the right way. I am pretty sure that Myah and Paiton are the only two on the roster that have ever been SLT champs. seems pretty weird to say and hard to believe!!

the struggles really come in the games when the shooting goes bye bye not the focus. seems like they are getting better and better at having the right people taking most of the shots, especially from 3

Oh BTW, up at 5 cuz i cannot sleep. BIG day for Jacks athletics
    2 first round SLT games
opening day Big 12 wrestling (first of four sessions for the weekend starts at 10am today)
and softball team takes on #3 OSU for the first of 2 games vs them this weekend (Tarleton again at noon, OSU at 2:30 today, and OSU noon tomorrow)

basically the Jacks have two teams in Sioux Falls and two in Tulsa / Stillwater

didnt mean to get off topic. didnt know where to put something involving 4 teams

Looks like even the Espn+ schedule is giving Jacks some bulletin board material, not that they need it.

If you're curious, they also have the ORU vs. 'Yote game correctly slated for tomorrow.

I like Kallie and Brooklyn's blue collar work under the bucket, just get it in the hoop style, that's what St Thomas has learned to do. Too many TO's . We don't need to be flashy, just productive for now.

RC to RC assist from Gylten to Timmer makes it 26-20 w/5:39 left in Q2

St Thomas is getting feisty. Lost their composure really quickly this second quarter. Meanwhile we are settling in finally.

Our freshmen and sophomores have played really well this half. Good to see.

Do you think Mendez slamming ball down merited a foul?

The first game is alway's full of nerves and too much adrenalin , glad we are getting more composed and thus more productive now.

My wife asked the same thing. I don’t think it warranted a foul. It’s tournament basketball, she was frustrated, but no harm done.

Looked much more like Jackrabbit basketball in the 2nd quarter. Cleaned up to the turnovers and locked down on defense.

Hopefully that doesn't make me a "girly man."

I tend to agree, but hopefully she got a warning from one of the refs.

Hopefully the trend continues in 2nd half.

AJ made some nice adjustments with the guards penetrating for layups in the 2nd quarter.

Paige is so fast, she can get to the bucket so quick, Haleigh too when she see's an opening

I think we can turn up the heat a little, get a little more aggressive, assertive. We can take more control of the game I think.
