ORU doesn't seem to be in as good of shape as the Jacks. You could see them tire in the game at Tulsa and that led to some lazy fouls. Would love to see their coach eat some more crow about the foul discrepancy.

Must be a Verbal Bob thing to complain about everything.

No matter the score, Jay Elsen will always find a positive way to spin it for USD. The commentator with him is excellent. Would be great if she was on Midco all season.

maybe that is why the fired Mindy Cussen. she always had a positive attitude. talked about what a privilege it was to play in front of so many fans. i bet mills really hated that

USD has gotten some easy buckets against the press. The Jacks would kill it.

Agree, they have left many baskets on the table because of indecision too!

ORU tomorrow it will be (unless some miracle happens). Curious to see if it looks like the game down there one week ago or if they bring the intensity of today. Regardless, AJ will have us ready and we have the tools USD didn’t have today.

Does the ORU coach realize that they play again tomorrow afternoon ? Starters still in with a 23 point lead and a minute left.

My guess after the full court press oru will be worn down tomorrow.

Even emotionally, I would think it would be hard for them to get as juiced up again in 24hrs.

they seem to think this is what they have been preparing for all year. sounds like they plan to press the whole game or as much as possible. HONESTLY THAT SHOULD NOT WORK against a good team. just like i thought that Denver should have been embarrassed for letting us press them the entire second half in our come back out there, we should be embarrassed if we let them press us all day tomorrow without paying a VERY HEAVY price

it might help their goal of getting the pace of game they want, but against a good team that should mean they lose 120-90. if you are not good enough to beat a good team playing good half court O and D then all that pressing does is incresase the score

I think the first half could be tight, the tired legs for ORU will show in the 2nd half. Jacks pull away in the 3rd and cruise in the 4th.

ORU stole our joy tomorrow. Watching the Jacks play that outmatched, tired USD team on the big stage would have been fun.

That ORU press won’t be nearly as successful against a team with the skilled guards. It will be interesting to see if they try it just a day after spending so much energy.

The major difference between today and tomorrow is that the Jacks have two very good PG's, while USD doesn't really have any. Larkins is a very good player, but not a natural PG.

i agree our PGs are much better, but that is definitely not the only difference between us and usd. i agree larkins is good, but i am not even sure she starts for us and they dont have a single other player who gets in our top 8

ORU press can work well against teams that lack talent and depth, and OF COURSE they could get some TOs from us, but overall when you press a team that is more talented and more skilled than you are it leads to a lot of pain

A little off track maybe, but we might just have to reconsider our road loss to Wash St as a bad loss, they just won the Pac 12 Conference Championship, ranked Stanford and Utah were eliminated, they won over UCLA , whom we narrowly lost to early in the season. Who'd of figured when we lost to them that they would end up as the Pac 12 Conference Tournament champs. They are obviously a very good team. BTW, it was Wash St that eliminated Utah and UCLA took down Stanford.
