Quarterfinal and semi-final games will not be televised on Iowa PBS. The championship games both Friday and Saturday for all 5 classes will be on Iowa PBS -&- streamed on iowapbs.org/sports.
Hopp had 30 and 21 in their last game to make the state tournament. They didn’t track assists, but pretty clearly had a triple double in the game.

Didn't Herzberg, Ferrand and Stapelton all leave early two years ago? I thought that Ferrand and Stapleton were both juniors.
He has had a few other players leave when they had another year of eligbility but they were here four years so they wouldn't apply to this discussion.

He still has a great track record but I THINK that it is much easier in WBB to retain players. You can get an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament, host WNIT games and be competitive (ranked in the Top 25) much easier in WBB. It might even be much easier to get drafted from the Summit League in WBB than MBB.

Sorry for continuing the thread drift but thought I'd pass that along.

I would like a grad transfer, too, but I do not know if I want them to be tall or a PG. SDSU would only have 2 or (possibly) 3 loses if they had P. Meyer and/or Dru in the pre-conference season. I'm not saying I have no faith in both of the true freshmen but they have struggled as true PG's.

Having 15 roster spots available probably makes women's coaches less likely to "encourage" players who may not contribute to move on. That seems to happen more often with the men, who only have 13 scholarships.

Sydney Stapleton moved on due to injury. She had been getting on the floor before. I think the other 2 players were searching for more play time. A few other players like Megan Stewart and Lindsey Theuninck(among others) moved on for professional reasons even though they had eligibility remaining. Jackrabbit WBB has been very successful finding great students who are athletes.
Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

Could be a PG and a Tall and still only be at 14 if my math is correct.

I like to see our recruits shine in their respective states HS Tournaments, so I'll be watching thanks to GrandpaLee's links. Hopp seems like a very talented player, hope she has a good tournament and congrats to her team making the field.

IGHSAU Digital Network is streaming on YouTube for quarterfinal and semifinal games. Great coverage on the big screen TV.

Not to mention that a full scholarship with the additional funds on top of it make for a pretty good gig. Combine that with the success and often times the grass may not be greener on the other side.
