I'm excited for things to come as you are, going to be a great year for the whole team. I think we have some very good players and more coming in all the time. Things couldn't look any better for the program IMHO. Looks like a normal year so far, that's icing on the cake.

It was an exhibition against Saint Cloud State in the middle of football season. Not sure I would characterize it as apathy. It's just natural that there isn't much juice around this game.

Most don't get fired up about MBB playing Mount Marty or the football team playing a D2 school. It is what it is.

I think the majority of Jacks fans are completely aware of how good both our basketball teams have the potential to be.

On to Youngstown State!

Two other notes on that:

1. It was not available for viewing for those of us that could not be there. Even the SDSU video feed has not been available for exhibitions games the last couple years. I did my best to listen on the radio, but that never goes real well when I'm doing things around the house.

2. Outside of frantic post-game venting after a big loss, there seems to be only a fraction of the activity on this forum that there was a couple years ago. WBB, MBB, football - I'd say we have less posting than even the USD board now.

Anyway, I'm also very happy to see we have some freshman guards that appear to be a part of the plans for this year.

plus this team goes as Myah goes so I think there is a cautious optimism about this season. she was clearly the best player in the conference last year so if she gets back to that level. Excitement will show more and more as the season moves on.

Did anyone see a box score from the game (I don't think they have those for exhibitions). I think in some of this type of games, they just use it as a glorified practice. Will the rotation be anything like this during the season? I don't know.

I would assume as Haleigh and Paige settle in more and more the playing time for LT and HG will diminish.

On the Midco preview show, AJ said that the Jacks wanted to get back to pushing the ball up the floor. That seemed to indicate that the freshmen would be seeing some time.

Meyer and Timmer are both really good shooters.
