They play like that in the WNIT and they'll win a few games.
I’m glad someone finally brought up Larson and RCJ. Some have really been tough on those two this year but they were both great today on the leagues biggest stage.

Ultimately we were just two inconsistent on offense. Defensively we were outstanding as we have been all year.

Comparing a three year starter to a career reserve. Interesting take.

Great game to be at. Going into it I was mostly hoping for just a respectable showing. Then we end up playing them even and it sucks to not pull it out.
        • First, what a way for RCJ to go out. Played her best game ever. Props to her.
        • Sjerven is really good and also insufferable. The flailing, flopping, falling is so tiresome and even more annoying that refs put up with it. Literally every time down the floor it's her trying to blatantly sell to the refs. I have a lot of respect for Duffy, Lamb, McKeever, etc., but Sjerven is impossible to enjoy watching.
        • A few calls at the end were pretty inexcusable. Most notably the non-call on Tagyn's fast break pass. Simply no excuse for not calling that. The charge call that Monica Arens took was not a charge. Block all the way. Amongst others. They were massive calls and if called correctly, the game is a one possession game in the final minute rather than 5-6 point deficit.
        • We lost primarily because of rebounding, which was unfortunate. We don't have a big like Sjerven and that hurt us on just a few too many possessions.
        • As others mentioned above, Team Tylee. She's a stud. Doesn't fill it up in points but does all the little things so well and is a top 2-3 defender in the league.
AJ coached one hell of a game today. After losing Myah (best player) and Theisen this year after losing the best senior class in school history, he had this team in a position to beat the #11 team in the country. Can't really overstate how impressive he is. USD is a great team, congrats to them on a terrific season.

Her jumper is fine, just needs to use the glass and get downhill more. She can rise up and hit that 6 footer or get fouled.

We need that option if teams take away our posts, we seemed to lack offensive options without Myah on the floor this year.

Tylee has very quick reflexes and can rise up in the air quickly too, she's a very athletic player in my opinion, a little wild off the glass, but she can get there on her drives to the hoop.Good length and very disruptive defender.

Like I said earlier, I am not a huge Tylee fan, I also said I was starting to come around on her. But lets not create a persona of greatness for her. She turns the ball over too often for a player with her experience, she can defend and rebound really well. But she still needs to be a capable and dependable shooter. And she really isn't. Let's hope she makes some advancements in the off season. JMO

I was wondering about a PG for next year too, assumed it would go to Lindsey, she 's the best we got unless Rongisch can beat her out of starting.Someone mentioned Herzberg, but she's 6 foot and more of a wing type player, runs the floor good I think, and she shoots three's ok I believe. Rylie will be missed until someone asserts herself in the PG role. We have 14 on the roster for next year, to date.

I mentioned her, I don't know anything about her game though, it was just a thought. Maybe we "lose" one or two to transfer to open up a spot or two?

You could maybe convince me that it would be good for them to win their first game but it wouldn’t break my heart one hit if they got blown out in the first round. I feel like we have made a reputation for ourselves and people in the women’s basketball world know who the jackrabbits are we don’t need any help from them.
Maybe I'm a little critical of them, but they remind me of us a few years after the 08-09 great team....always about 12 points the underdog against the top tier P-5 schools in the NCAA's.Until they finally get a win in the Dance (USD), no way they can ever be considered as the best team in the Summit ever...I don't see it until they prove it.

The dog fans are saying some people on Twitter are making fun of the dog players (sjerven). Anyone seen this?

Nope. Just searched her name on Twitter and didn't see anything, either, aside from one guy tweeting about her flopping. Hopefully no one is taking shots at her personally, but I missed it if it's out there.

Thanks. That’s good to hear. Not a fan of her by any means but there is no excuse to mock her on a public platform.

Tylee Irwin has been playing PG this year on many occasions. I am surprised that no one has mentioned that happened. Many times while Lindsey Theuninck has been in the game at the same time. She does a good job of bringing the ball quickly and decisively. Watch some replays and you may notice.

Good point. I’m sure the times I saw it happen I just thought of it being a “substitute teacher” type of deal.

Defensive specialist with inconsistent offense. Seems accurate.

I find it interesting that we are talking about Tylee after the Summit League Tournament. She should maybe shoot more but 2 TO's to 9 assists and 8 steals isn't a bad stretch.

                                She out played Duffy head-to-head.
                                Duffy- 2-10 (10 points), 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 5 TO's
                                Tylee- 4-10 (11 points), 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, 2 steals and 2 TO's.
Tylee was guarding Duffy most of the game. One of Duffy's baskets came when they brought Stapleton in to guard her for 4 minutes. I don't remember her other basket.

The game before that, she was 7-13 (18 points), 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 block, 2 steals and 0 TO's.

                                The first game, she was 3-7 (8 points), 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals and 0 TO's.

She has only averaged 10 PPG over the last 19 games but she only shoots about 8.5 shots/game in those 19 games.

I do want to remind everybody that SDSU is not the best shooting team this year. They only have Larson and Cascio Jensen are better 3-points shooters than Tylee.
