    Re: The Women of UND

California PA got beat by Northern Kentucky in the 2003 semi-finals by a score of 45-43. Of course Northern Kentucky came up one game short last year.

      Re: The Women of UND

I am not trying to diminish the Jacks victory as they certainly have a great team, but with the other 3 NCC teams in the other half of the bracket, the Jacks virtually had a bye to the finals. I am sure it allowed the Jacks to be a little fresher at the end of the game.

        Re: The Women of UND

I looked at California (PA)'s schedule and didn't recognize the name of a single team they've played, including a Wayne State that isn't located in Nebraska.

Goyotes -- It would be a lie if I told you I didn't like the pairings when they came out. But hey, we had to go through the number one seed!

Gates? Nah, nasty stuff, wouldn't touch it. LC's BBQ, now that's authentic KC barbecue. The one close to where I work is a little place in a kind of run-down part of town, but mmmmmmmmmmmm, that's good bbq....

Cal, PA (31-1) scores about 85 and gives up around 55. Plus 12 in rebounds per game. Not to take anything away from them but I would bet the level of competion is not nearly the same as the NCC.

filbert ... LC's? Where the heck is that? Is the bbq like Bryant's? Cripe I'm so hungry for KC bbq that I'd eat anywhere.

gocoyotes .... are kidding? I feel bravado enough to say if we would have played USD then NDSU before heading in the championship game we would have won again. This Jacks team is good. We are better than USD and NDSU. And, I guess we are better than UND, too. You see, we have bragging rights. We earned it and the best part about it is that we are still playing.

Two locations...one over in Kansas where I seldom roam...the other one is on Blue Parkway (Or Missouri 350) a mile or so west of I-435 on the east side. Tiny little place, but oh so good. My favorite is the burnt ends.

Jack Stack BBQ is supposed to be pretty good (and has Jack in the name) but I've not been to one yet. Smokehouse BBQ is up in Independence, and caters to the company I work at--it's pretty good stuff too.

I think thats a great picture. I'm not sure Shannon would agree but I love it. The Jacks uniforms are sharp!

If you want to have some fun go over to the Sioux site where in the last several days Corella and Legend have been trashing the men for the loss against Metro and our women who they claim quit in the large loss to UND in Grand Forks. I'm sure they will have something to chirp about even today after our big win.

I like to "troll" around their site and read the posts but I don't see how you can carry on a dialogue with those "insert your explitive here". I simply can't find anything constructive in what they have to say and I am certain that they will not listen to any views not perfectly in line with theirs. I am sure they would say similar things about SDSU fans on this board but a lot of the stuff on Siouxsports is way below the belt and I hope we never go there (at least not too often and only when speaking of USD).

A trip to St. Joe this time of year would be a very good thing.
