Found this in the Marshall Independent

SDSU freshman guard Macie Michelson, a native of Marshall, will not play in tonight’s game because of a thumb injury she suffered during practice.

She has torn ligaments in her left thumb and is expected to see a specialist next week determining if she needs surgery or not.

I wonder if she needs surgery if she will be redshirted, even if she would be out just a little while?

Hopefully, she'll be OK...redshirting would likely be an option if she's sidelined for a significant amount of time

Didn't we have a big scare about Vogel's thumb last year? (look how that turned out)
