If a ref calls tickey tack fouls...be consistent on both teams, 4 to 1 on foul calls, were we that much more physical than the USD gals? Replay time on ESPN3

I watched this morning. There were a few more cheaper fouls where a player ran into a yote but it is a foul. There were a few no calls that went the wrong way. There were those tough offensive fouls and blocking fouls that seemed to go the wrong way of course. Alexander spent a bunch of time on the bench with fouls. That is time that Guebert is at the point position which is not ideal for a scorer. It was only one shot short on the road. It is not time to start the hair on fire.

YEA....no use crying over spilled milk,I'll just chalk it off as just another Summit League refereed game.I get a kick out of some of the visiting teams when they come and play in the Summit, and their reactions to the calls....it's like ....."what ???". The looks are quite comical. Especially with the P-5 players.

Alexander got some cheap foul calls called on her.One time ,all she did is cut off the player on the base line and she got called for a foul, she didn't touch her.I mean,we should have a right to go anywhere on the court too.....she got to that spot first and was just standing there .USD player should have been stuck there, but she ran into Lexi instead...oh well, I digress.

Yes, I read the coyote fan board. Lots of unhappy campers over there. Myself, I enjoyed both games compliments of sponsors who paid Midco sports.

I might remind you that one of the concepts of the zone reduces fouls. Also, take notice of the number of threes jacked up by yotes. There are many things that can indicate a difference in foul totals in that game. The one thing that might also add a few fouls is the number of times Daum gets the ball low and double teams get a bit aggressive on the moving target. There could have been many more fouls called down low if the same criteria for the whistle was used for the little grabs out front. Our WBB problem was that some players picked up those questionable calls and sat on the bench too much. It is most interesting that some down south have discounted the rest of the conference with one home win by 3 points while 87% of the conference season remains. The other situation is that the younger Arens would be the diamond in the rough and she is outperforming the injured seniors history. We do not have a second POY emerged at this point. We do have a couple of first team people though. One or both of those projected yote starters would or should have been riding the pine and provided depth.

And I'm sure they spoke very calmly on the USD message board about it as well. I'm sure no one said anything about how "we would have won if such and such had only played" either.

That is tough for her to spend part of senior year recovering. She will be missed for that stretch. We can hope she has complete recovery from the injury..

Wonder if those stretchy supports might help after her recovery. They must provide some support for the knee.with out the bulkiness of a knee brace. Some players get accustomed to a knee brace,I think Gabby wore one last year, didn't seem to slow her up too much.
