What a shot by Miller with 1.5 to go. They had one last answer for the Hawkeyes.

Big win for the Jacks. Iowa is a good team, certainly much better than anything I expect to see in the Summit. Disterhoft is the real deal as far as talent goes.

Incredibly tough shot by Macy with 2 seconds left. Great win as it was an extremely physical game. Lack of bench and foul trouble caused us some fatigue but they held strong. Macy's buzzer-beater may have been our only FG in the last 5 min.

Gustafson was unstoppable in second half. 15 points in second half. She logged 13 rebounds as well. Some of the charge calls under the basket were interesting inside the circle that did not seem to make any difference to the referees. It was a very physical game by both teams. Iowa did less platooning the second half, but they did use many subs overall. Jackrabbit defense did enough to win this game. This is a quality road win. I wish it was not so exciting down the stretch.

Or someone that would describe it other than saying that it was difficult.

Or live stats....I really didn't think people relied on this thread for the score anymore.

It was a quick pass to Macy and she squared to basket and popped the 15 footer=swish. It was 100% the play that was intended. It was too quick for the defense to jump her.

Macy's a special player to make a shot under that pressure look easy.

I think you have to have the subcription to watch it

It will show up somewhere then. Ober passed to Macy in the corner. She drove to the elbow on right side. The little sparkplug that was guarding her most of the day tried to draw a charge or slipped as Macy pulled up for the nice jumper. It is great to see a winning shot like that come from the preseason POY.

Good article on an Iowa fan site (well written, entertaining, and tells the tale of the domination by the Jacks in the first three quarters):
                                http://www.hawkcentral.com/story/spo...enge/94169170/

Here's the game story from the Hawkeyes' official athletics website. Note this article says it was Ellie Thompson that hit the three-point heave at the buzzer ending the third quarter (the article linked above said it was Maddie Geubert -- the box score available shows Ellie was 0 for 3 for three-point shooting while Maddie was 3 of 5).
                                http://www.hawkeyesports.com/news/20...px?path=wbball

The Jacks were never behind in the game.
