For whatever reason the Jacks seem to play tight against USD. Part of that gets credited to USD and part of it is a mindset they have to change. We play fast and loose when playing these top programs like Notre Dame but tighten up when it is a closer matchup.

Our offense stunk yet were down 1 late. Bodes well for the future. Our ball and player movement was not good most of the game. If they learn how to play all 4 qtrs then watch out.

Agree. I'm not one for moral victories, but I was more worried about our chances in the SLT prior to this game than I am now. We missed so many open shots, both inside and outside. If one or two goes in it is very likely the outcome is different. It won't be easy, but I think we'll have a pretty good shot in front of a "home" crowd in Sioux Falls.

Credit goes to USD though, they made the shots when it counted. Seekamp is on a Wolters-like level.

'Net suggests he went to Iowa and then Northwestern College (IA?). I think his commentary definitely has a different tenor than say Tom Nieman's, but I must admit I am likely pro-Nieman (especially compared to options like Newitt and Elsen)

I like to call him Brad KNEW-it (but forgot it).

I thought he did a good job. Not like he was terribly slanted towards either team.

You want to hear a homer listen to Brad Peterson do our womens game on the radio. I find myself wanting to turn off our own broadcast at times.

Knew it but forgot it, is a whiz in physics and tutors kids in this subject. He has not forgotten his grad assistant days at USD though.

I knew it....that he was smart (it was mentioned earlier,he taught physics),but a little slanted toward favoring a particular school a little.

Did we have the best defense on the floor tonight? Sure seemed like we had a lot of trouble getting to the rim.The game was touted more or less the best defense in the league vs the best offense,is why i ask. It was pretty good, but was it the best today? Our offense sure seemed non existent or otherwise flat at times today, lots of dribbling, but not necessarily always towards the bucket.Just wondering what others thought about it.

The token pressure on the full court press after made buckets seemed to disrupt the yote offense. The pressure at the end of the game nearly won the game. I would expect more of that come tournament time. The game was called very close which created some foul troubles for the Jackrabbits. Late in the game, it also created some yote problems. The Jackrabbits just could not make the shots and at times relied too much on the 3 pt shot instead of trying to take the ball inside first. It is too early to concede the tournament crown.. It was very close to a win at the closing of the dome. Go Jacks!!

I dont know why but I feel like we are better than USD. I know theyve beat us twice but overall I think we have more talent. The big difference is Seekamp she is the best player on either team and just makes plays for them. Thats been the difference in both games.

We were tougher this game but still had periods where we struggled. Its gonna be a hell of a game in Sioux Falls. If I had to bet I think we beat them in round 3.

In high school, we were taught playing zone D promoted standing around on offense. Post D was brutal.

That's williams tricked the refs into calling fouls when we play defense. Posts couldn't do anything with out getting a foul. Wished we would have attacked inside and not settled for jump shots. Our womens team just like our mens team is great when there is player and ball movement. We didn't have much of either. 4th qtr was finally some intensity on offense but couldn't do anything on D.

Why I'm not so upset about it is assuming usd finishes 1 and we are 2nd. Then usd has the pressure on them. We don't as much. And its really hard to beat a good team 3 times in a season. If they can beat us in the summit turny they will have earned it. Since the pressure has shifted a bit I figured that might actually be good for this team. Loosen up a bit.
