I liked how AJ played all the bench players the last 3 or 4 minutes of the game. Good end of game experience for them.

Love listening to AJ's post game comments,he's got such a a good grasp on his teams performance for the game.I always get the impression he has a pretty good idea of things that need worked on and feel pretty good about the Jacks getting better after every game played.Chasing perfection,no one really ever achieves it,but you can get close if you work hard at it.

One thing that's gotten better, although it still needs work,is getting a steal once in awhile when we have a player trapped with two players applying pressure (not fouling though). It's the first pass out that usually is where a steal comes from, and it's usually the player closest to the trap that gets the (hopefully poor) pass out. It's the player defending this first pass out of the trap that has to play a little closer to,and anticipate the pass to get the steal(the best athlete?). It doesn't do much good to spring the trap (we've got this part down pat it seems) if we can't get a steal once in awhile out of it, it doesn't have to be every time though, just once in awhile.Granted, this is just a minor concern in the context of finding things to improve upon,as it doesn't impact the game that much.

These three players, the two to set the trap and the third to go for the bad pass out, should be our best defenders who are also our quickest players who can react very quickly to the situation. The first two are alright, the stealing part needs work. Can't forget about the two who have to guard three players who are very important too, they have to position themselves correctly too,in case a wild pass comes their way.All players have to work a good trap in unison, sometimes that can be a little tricky, one thing doesn't go right, the whole thing fails.

It would be difficult not to have a big mental letdown against the bottom six teams in this league. The talent gap is so wide.
I worry about our offensive limitations. USD is one of the top scoring teams in the nation and they've developed into a staunch defensive team as well. SDSU is still the best defensive team but Based on what I'm seeing the last few weeks SDSU can't match USD offensively. That could be a big problem.

SDSU has shown glimpses of greatness on offense, they just lack consistency. Last night they played great in the 1st/3rd quarters then couldn't make a shot in the 2nd/4th quarters. I have a feeling AJ will have them ready to play their best basketball come March like he always does.

I expect exactly the same thing. Will take consistency on both ends of the floor to win 3 in a row in S Falls. I like the Jack's chances because their defense has been so staunch. That said, if the offense goes stagnant it will be a battle.
